Why the hell are comments turned off for that Roots post?
Just wanted to say thank you for it.
my bad. glitch in the matrix. fixed.
I need to get around to listening to all of these mixtapes. I’ve downloaded every single one but not listened to any of them.
Thanks again.
charrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrlessssssssssssssss hamilton!
Big up to Chuck Ham for having the audacity to rock air-brushed tees and the tenacity to stick with his lil Sonic theme
Anybody see that latest clip of him flossing those overpriced Dr. Dre Beats headphones? Does he get ASCAP checks from releasing free material online? Lol, at least they’re a masculine black & red instead of that soft-ass Killa Cam pink…if he gets those headphones custom-painted like I think he might…
Btw…does anyone feel he’s improving with each project? One would reasonably expect that each release be “better” than the last, no?
^it’s tough cuz I think each release has been totally different which is good. It’s not like he’s just throwing out random ass songs. Each tape sounds different from teh other ones
Thats a ballsy ass cover.
A quick note to any lackluster unproven young rappers with no mic presence out there: Never ever ever ever ever do ANYTHING to compare your self to mid 90′s Nas or to remind your listeners just how Illmatic your music is NOT.
Thumbs down to this whole shameful affair.
Each joint sounds better than the last. I think when “The Hamiltonization Process” is all said & done, somewhere in there should be a truly classic mixtape.
I think C Hamilton is really dope. He has consistent lyrics and good beat selection. He’s loved in the industry…even Royce mentioned him in the Slaughterhouse song (which Joell murked before anyone else could even speak)…I think Charles has a lot to give to hip hop…
This new joint is definitely the bizness. And co-sign on the beat selection. CH is making his own lane & these mixtapes are just the beginning. Along with Blu, Buddens, Royce, Ortiz & Jay Electronica (whenever he decides to actually drop something, CH is part of a movement in hip-hop that is really pushing the line on lyricism & creativity. “It’s Charles Hamilton” is my favorite mixtape from dude so far & I can’t see how anybody who claims to love hip-hop can knock it.
I’m gonna download this and give it a try but the handful of his songs i’ve listened to make me hate his voice. Just so mono-tone, like he’s reading the words off the page.
He’s getting better, but he needs someone to help him with his focus and song structure IMO. Like Dr. Dre helped Snoop take his rhymes and mold them into songs. His structure is so sloppy, it seems like he’s freestyling when he’s spittin’ written rhymes.
Production is tight on this joint though.
