We started the week in a reflective mode as we took time out to remember the untimely passing of Pac, sadly a day late but a lot sooner than most. Nate Dogg also made a splash in the media as we wish him a speedy and full recovery.

On wider scope, the country (and rappers), rallied to recover after Hurricane Ike struck Texas and made his presence felt all the way up in the Mid-West. The Stock Market tanked as institutions that have been around since The Great Depression received a golden life raft from the Government with our tax money. It’s still mind boggling that Jeezy’s the only one addressing this. Kinda puts us in perspective as we took stock of what TSS is and isn’t. We’ll let it slide this time VH1 since Hip-Hop Honors looks good this year. The National Anthem had a rough week as Kat & Josh were caught with the cameras rolling.

Believe it or not, with all of that we actually discussed music as well this week too. Khaled and LL actually dropped albums this week, while Doom re-released one due to a busy touring schedule (right). Good luck finding them in Best Buy though… With that being said: Mixtapes by far held the week down in terms of new material. Gucci tried his hand at a movie since he’s taking an extended vacation.

Kanye swears he got the game on lock, so our Smoking Session was kept within an One Block Radius this week. Luckily things turned up golden for everyone involved. Killer Mike came through with another Massacre, albeit a day late. There were rumors of a Paper Trail being left behind, but it must have blown away with Ike.

Since TSS loves the kids, we helped them step their rap game up and gave them insight on what to play when they cash in their V-card. They had no problems pulling up their jeans, once we told them it was the only way to get a new flick from H.E.R. For passing the curriculum with flying colors – they were rewarded with places to cop shirts and fitteds to complete their outfits.

Not only do we love the kids, but (say it with me): TSS <3's P too!

Damn, is it almost October already?
