Toné! has helped enhance the careers of some of the most talented artists in the industry. Plus, if you watch this new video interview he did with Fader – where he gives insight into his recording process, work ethic and his idols – you’ll see he’s a real cool cat to boot.
Raphael’s new album, The Way I See It, drops tomorrow and features Stevie Wonder, Hova and Joss Stone.

This drops tomorrow right?… I d’loaded it yesterday. Its a must have. Dude is the only person that could make an album that sounds like it should’ve been out 40-50 years ago, and do it well.

wannabe throwback bullshit. there are no gamble & huffs, thom bells, freddie perrens, norman harrises, hugo & luigis etc… artists need to cut that shit out.
This guy is a legend… Great Live Performer. Voodoo (D’Angelo) wouldn’t have been what it was with out him. A great asset to soul music. My mom said his mimicry of the throwback sound is authentic. He is gonna be in the history books one day.
Also, he will be in Nashville in a few weeks. If ur in the area, don’t miss it, become a believer.

RS doesn’t get as much props as he should for being one of those cats who usually breaks new ground each time out & being an inspiration (acknowledged by others or not). His solo albums have always been pretty solid. “Rifle Love” “Still A Man” & several others always occupy spots in my various r+b playlists.
