Is there any reasonable theory as to why Charli Baltimore didn’t blow up?
In terms of Hip-Hop marketing plans, she seemingly had all the criteria for the makings of stardom.
– Linked to a prominent label (Murda Inc.) and doing collabos with Ja while he was in his prime & ruling (no pun) over radio. In fact, she always held her own on collabos with her male counterparts. Ghost. Cam. Nore.
– Cool rap name taken from a movie, which was all the rage in the 90′s.
– Shouts from all of the coolest of the cool kids in rap. Of course, B.I.G. namedropped her. And Jay specifically said her government name on “Allure”.
– She was a badass redbone, easy on the eyes. Fire hot. She held that balance between being sexy but rugged enough that you could let her ride shotgun with you while holding up a liquor store, knowing she wouldn’t flinch.
So what happened? Why was Cold As Ice shelved? Can somebody get Un on the phone to answer these things!

^ I think it was her production that sucked… “Stand Up” was dope because of RZA, and I liked “Everybody Wanna Know”…. not one of Premier’s best beats, but good enough to put her in the spotlight.

A groupie that eventually can rap……i never caught the bug of her and Jay, I read in Faith’s memoir book and all i can remember was the repo man taking BIG’s cars back from her when she tried to go into hiding with the cars and his stuff.
