Little Stevie Wonder

Stevie Wonder is more than a musician.
Very few of the current “recording artists” can truly be considered musicians. Not only in our culturally depraved generation, but throughout time. Not every name playing musical chairs atop the Billboard chart at the end of the week is that of a person who has made it their duty to master music and perfect their art.
True, some have remarkable voices and occasionally one or two may excel and take their craft to a slightly higher level and wider audience. They then become representative figures for their time and then slowly fade into the recesses of our memories.
Not Stevie.
He is iconic. Genres and generations have been formed around the works of this man who has consistently been impacting our cultures and lives for the past fifty years.
As if his musical legacy did not suffice, his life’s triumphs are almost mythical.
Whether you met Stevie as a blind child prodigy at the tender age of eleven, or whether he only touched your ears 26 Grammy’s and 150 million records sold later, it is hard to deny the force that is this man.
Stevie Wonder, ladies and gents, is more than just another musician in our midsts.
He is a living legend.

I want to commend you on being ridiculously on point the two to three months since I found this site. You have a freakish ability of reading my thoughts (or possibly google searches) and reminding me of all the music that pops into my head during the day but disappears by the time I’m ready to rest at night – Stevie was the cherry on top.
If i could have intercouse with a website (assuming it had a vahjayjay), i would choose this one.

Man…. I just had one of the roughest days EVER. Students, holla if you hear me: First week of school, and I’ve got 400 pages to read BY TOMORROW, followed by 5 that I have to write of my own on those four hun’do. And my ass didn’t even procrastinate. Damn. The things they are asking of to graduate… But to bring it back…
This shit saved me.
Stevie speaks in ways that few ever could or ever can, in a language that the likes of Marvin could understand, and he just cools me out. I ain’t even listen to these joints yet, and I’m already feeling better. The sole fact that someone posted this has already got me feelin’ aiight, and got me looking forward to something other than page after page.
Damn. I’m done. My bad ya’ll. It’s 3am, I had to talk to someone other than this damn book.

Very Nice Post! Only thing I’m Missing is “Natural Wonder”, which got me introduced to the Genius back in ‘95, when i was a young kid singin’ “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” all day long.
Stevie is heading to Germany next week, I’ll be there, can’t wait to see him live.
I dare somebody to tell me a more perfect song than “Superwoman/Where Were You When I Needed You”……I DARE somebody to tell me a better song than this one.
