Letterman Ethers McCain
GENERAL By Gotty™ on September 25, 2008 at 8:37 amJohn McCain has made a crucial mistake. He’s underestimated the political power of satirists in an election year. In what can only be considered a bitch move, McCain bailed on the David Letterman show claiming he was “rushing to Washington” to cure our economic woes when instead he was heading to NYC to do apparently a few more interview rounds, including one with Katie Couric…who’s on the same network as Letterman.
So,
Letterman’s genuine anger + a desire to piggyback off of the buzz Chris Rock got a couple of nights ago = straight Ether towards John McCain.

Letterman is great man…
McCain wants to skip out on the show, so instead of just replacing his time with a fill in, Letterman spends the time McCain woulda been on straight roastin his ass.
“i think he dissed u”
Pure comedy.
Letterman’s laugh and eye gestures are priceless.
The best late night host ever.
“Oh, you mad cuz I’m stylin’ on you?”
Cosign @ Beware. Some older folks might tell us it’s Carson though.
I also fux with O’Brian, even though he probably gonna change his steez when he moves to LA and takes over Leno’s spot.
Anyway, I never understood why the Republicans chose W over McCain in 2000, until I realized that it was because McCain went against his party on certain issues, which I respected, and W kissed conservative ass.
Then McCain flipped the script and started his own brown nosing, so all respect went out the window.
And remember, dude voted AGAINST equal pay for women AND making MLK day a holiday.
warren g’s new album called ”g files” coming in november
dr dre’s detox coming december and first single called “probably” (lol, that’s a good name for this project) coming in november !
so if all is good, december will be crazy !
i dont think conan will switch his steez when he takes over, dude has been on some otha shit since he started…he is a weird/funny ass mofo. he has also become alot funnier ova the yrs…yall cant leave kimmel out, he is a great host too.
I think the dude that comes on after letterman is funny too. You really can’t go wrong other than Carson though.
Letterman > the rest.
I think i’m partial to Kimmel b/c he invites a lot of good musical acts.
I don’t know, E, not sure if the Tonight Show audience is gonna be too enthused with the Masturbating Bear. jaja.
As long as he keep the In The Year 2000 skit and Triumph, I’m good.
Last night they was like “George Bush will refuse to watch Oliver Stone’s new movie “W” until he watches “A” through “V” first.” That shit had me rollin’.
i wasnt really talkin about the conan bits tres, more so his personality and shit…his monologues…his quirky mannerisms…that type shit….
he has alotta good bits, but they have ALOT of really stupid bits on that show too….
we should counteract that ‘no obama gear to the polls’ bulletin with 1 also tellin McCain supporters to make sure they wear all their McCain buttons, pins, and such to the polls to show support and possibly help influence the undecided voters….i guarantee 95% of the public doesnt know its illegal to campaign within 100′ of the voting locaions. no1 i know did….
nov 4 need to get here
“In what can only be considered a bitch move” - classic.
McCain’s flailing all over the place - this is the exact opposite of what people want to see in their future Commander in Chief. Compared with calm and collected Obama, it’s embarrassing.
David Letterman has officially stuck a fork in the McCain campaign
-Obama 08 :)
Paul: “She is a good-looking babe…”
LMFAO
“You need a ride to the airport???”
WOW.
David Letterman hasn’t been funny since 1988. While I’m definitely not voting for Johnny Mac, it’s ridiculous to think that it would have been better for him to do a stupid talkshow than actually go to Washington and at least TRY to get work done. The “political power of comedians” only works over the idiotic masses who are actually entertained by these stupid programs. Yeah, I guess McCain should just whore himself out to do stupid television shows rather than actually try to help the country while the Stock Market’s teetering. And I repeat: no, I’m not voting for him, nor am I a republican.
I want in on the veal picatta tho… I mean I would screw Rachel Ray so hard she would snort Starbucks coffee grinds in the rain.****
***pls note that Belve while upright is not “quite right” and would also fugg Whoopie Goldberg if he could make the cash off it
The problem is, even if McCain is being genuine, and there is a decent change he was, we’ve been jaded to view every move as a political gambit. Alot of this can be laid at the feet of MC Rove who took manipulating the press to new levels, but everyone shares the guilt here. Including McCain, whose choice of Palin shows he’s certainly willing to utilize media frenzy to his advantage.
The financial crisis is a big deal, and it deserves a well thought solution, with contribution from the leaders of our country, which includes Obama and McCain. At the same time, you sleep in the bed you made.
“…it’s ridiculous to think that it would have been better for him to do a stupid talkshow than actually go to Washington and at least TRY to get work done.”

Yeah adfas, it is ridiculous. What is even more ridiculous is the fact that he still didn’t go to Washington. He went to New York and did a different interview.
“PAY ATTENTION!!!!” (c) DJ Drama
@ajwondagreek:
Don’t be to hard on Mccain, it is obvious senility has hit. He actually thought he WAS in Washington while doing the interview. lol
@adfas–whether JMac should have done the show or not isn’t the point. Agreeing to do it and then bailing is weak sauce, and antagonizing an angry man with an audience during a close campaign shows terrible judgment.
