Hehe…Keith gets it poppin’. Give it a listen and I think you’ll be more entertained than expected. Keith’s flow is contained but I wouldn’t expect a whole album of such. All I know is on the way home it made me recline the seat, fire up a Kool & ignore the horns honkin’ at me in traffic.
The legend is set to return as Dr. Dooom with Dr. Dooom 2, out 9.23.08.

cool
The original free association emcee… When on, Keith can lose you like a Jerry Rice slant over the middle. and make u wanna chase it to see what you missed.
When keith is off, he makes Weezy seem coherent. Really coherent.
And that’s not a good thing.
Does Weezy even know who his lyrical daddy is?
And for that matter how many folk under 20 have even heard of the black elvis (those weird ass jam band fests he popped up at in the ’90s don’t count either.)
… UMC was disturbingly good for like 2 albums. just crazy.
They posted this mixtape the other day. The first
installment was bonkers. This is Vol.2

Hmmmm…
I’d say when you rap like that, you birth your own style. Every demented, incongruous rhyme is a deviant from your own weird mind.
They get props…to a certain extent. Nothing really anybody else can’t do…if they put their mind to it.
Hey TSS
Mr. Ultramagnetic is back huh!
Anyone got a link of Bun B “Trill II”?
Just inquiring…lol

Truly the Baddest MC
Cant wait for this to drop.
“jockin the words that make ya think ya buggin & illin out on vocab…
connect the abulary, then switch it….” (@when i burn)
“lemme sprinkle Salt, lemme sprinkle Pepa on doodoo” (@pluckin’ cards)
some of the craziest jibberish ever spit, NO ONE could pull that shit off right but Keith. with the right production, he’s one of the illest.
with the wrong production, i can’t be bothered with listening…
basically i agree w/Canseco…
Yo, Jaycee how did enjoy the show at the Warehouse? Haven’t really heard anything
about it. I know that 5pc Frenchy’s and fries
held ya down.
TC,
I guess nobody “owns” free association rhyming or Rorshach Flow as i sometimes call it, but i just can’t think of anyone doing it when UMCs were nor when KK was doing it; and like jaycee said, when the production’s on top, dude is just in another realm with it–even at age 45 or whatever’s on his birth certificate these days.
i just can’t see Weez or a lot of cats even trying this sober without looking bad and without Keith as a precedent.
And please nobody say Juelz San or JR Writer. That whole click could stand to be force-fed some Shel Silverstein or something literate… The stuff they drop is… well… even when it’s good it’s just borderline torrette’s.
unfortunately, i didnt make it to the show. the people i was going with flaked out on me at the last second and when i hit up Chaps (Kweli’s DJ) to see if i could catch a ride to the venue with him, the van he was in was already full…
Frenchy’s definitely held a brother down 3 outta my 4 nights there though. that shit is like CRACK (not that i’d know what that’s like, lol)
this b*tch dont know nothing but how to force her OWN duaghter
into marriage, lie to people….
& give McCain a “Lewinsky”
aight…..my bad..
maybe i went to far….
but still check it out in her own wurdz

so, what the deal is?
Whose beats do we prefer Kool Keith over?
Dan The Automator or Kutmasta Kurt?
Dr. Octagon or Dr. Dooom?
@teef
Keef over some RZA might be interesting… i think he’d butcher some Premo–he’s just not grimy like that. But something sparse and strange…
or go opposite field with it; think dude from Rhymesayers—Ant?
Keith’s just so unpredictable that you don’t know what he feels like doing when u listen to him. He almost seems bored when he rhymes sometime. And u wonder if it’s the beats he gets or that he’s just been doing this for like 23 years and just might feel like *eff it*…
Prince Paul’s still one of the best… a comical collage for like 12-15 tracks might bring some life into KoolKeith…
MF Doom=bootleg Kool Keith.
Kurt’s doing this album.
And Keith gave birth to what Ghost, Wayne & others do now.
Keith over Prince P-Paul, RZA, or Primo would be great!
Keith’s got that bite to his rhymes that MF Doom doesn’t…
like, MF Doom is that friendly, laid back drunk, while Keith is the shit-talker
That’s just what Kool Keith Needs; Wayne thinking he is his daddy. When he tries to kiss him it’s on yall heads. lol

and didn’t De La acknowledge Keith as one of their influences?
we look at De La, MF Doom, Ghost, and, to a certain degree, Wayne, as being out of left field…and Keith ain’t even in the ball park….
Keith’s whole outlook on everything is just bugged, and it seems like he has this unparalleled disdain for the industry, and ghetto fuckery…makes for great fuel for his raps! love it
off the wall like MJ
Yo first off I wanna thank TSS for makin me damn near max out my external hard drive with all this music that they keep puttin up..lol but real talk thanks because some of those albums you put up I can’t even find anymore. Now for anyone holding that Kick Rocks mix Jaycee did could you please re-up it I found it on here but the link is thanks in advance.
this joint is garbage, and this is coming from someone that actually likes matthew, spankmaster, the personal album, etc.
Kool Keith needs a check from damn near everyone in the industry.
3000, Ghost, Doom, etc…
Pos from De La said Keith is his FAVORITE rapper!
Keith over Prince P-Paul, RZA, or Primo would be great!
=======================================
Prince Paul would be my personal preference…. RZA might be nice as well. I never thought about Primo producing for Kool Keith though. That might be pretty interesting.

I think that is mostly because a majority of the hip-hop public doesn’t know who the hell Kool Keith is. Damn shame. Especially since he’s been in the game so long that he damn near invented the game.
@ Jaycee..that sux. I still have yet to hear anything
substantial about the show. From what I heard the
place was packed out.
Yeah man, I can only get that 5pc wing & fries Frenchy’s every so often. Luckily, the city is
being covered so I don’t have to make the trek
to 3rd Ward to get it.
I’m not feeling this KK on 1st listen. He’s always
been on some other-other. He could get any
production on the strength of UMC. Hope he does.
@Teeph
IMO Keith murders Kutmasta Kurts Production
And Dooom>>>>Octagon
Never really dug Automator
But i did like Half-Shark Alligator Half Man
Half Man Half Shark
They also say that Kurt ghost produced 80% of Dr.Octagon
good lookin out Gotty, i’ma add a additional zshare and a sendspace link shortly…
Thanks Mr. Gotty
