“Hillary Lost” - Chris Rock On The David Letterman Show
GENERAL By Gotty™ on September 23, 2008 at 8:36 amDavid Letterman had Bill Clinton on the show last night where he droned on & on about Hillary, what she would’ve done for the economy, etc. etc. He also took the opportunity to reluctantly vouch for Obama. Thanks Bill.
Thankfully, Dave also had Chris Rock on the show as well & Chris held no punches, reminding Bill that, at the end of the day, Hillary lost.
“Hilary ain’t running! One of those guys needs to tell him. I love Hillary but she lost. She got a lot of votes she lost. The Patriots got a lot of points too, but they lost to the Giants.”
He also got in a few funny Palin & Alaska shots as well. A good dose of funny to go along with your morning Joe.
Is it me or will you too always view an animated Chris Rock through the character of Pookie lol? He seems like a clean-cut, straight edge dude…but I still see Pookie when his eyes get wide with excitement.

haha, nahh, the image of Pookie died when when he was on In Living Color as the guy saying “Good lawd thats alot of money!” Clinton only said he was for Obama once, real quick. It was a good interview, regardless. Bill is still my dude. Can’t wait for Chris Rock’s new HBO special.

I love how he points out contradictions like the Vick fiasco in the most aggressive and humorous way possible. You can tell the audience is laughing even though they might not want to agree. Good job Chris.

Enh…I’m a fan of Richard, then Mike Epps. Chris is up there for me though. I’ve seen him live & his HBO specials have always been pretty good.

LMAO @ how the video cut from Clinton directly to Chris. I was expecting this clip to be Clinton for the whole two minutes and then one of the related videos to be Chris Rock. I would have liked to see this whole episode. I usually check for Letterman but I got caught up watching Heroes and MNF last night.

Did yal see Sommore’s Comedy Central special? i never thought she was that hilarious, but she tore it down on that one.
And I don’t remember they names too well, but theres a lot of young White dudes out now that funny as hell. Only one I can remember is Dave Attel(sp).
I think comedians we like are really like music - people have preferences based on who they connect w/most. I connect w/Epps b/c I saw dude performing while he had to be high & he KILLED it lol. He was rambling, breakin routine but doing it well.
Rich b/c he was just that dude, touchin on new topics (and some that people won’t touch) & exposed his personal life in all it’s muck & confusion.

ive seen him live a few times and he is good, he doesnt recycle material like most comics, like when i saw charlie murphy- funny as fuck the 1st time, had me dyin….saw him a 2nd and 3rd time and he wasnt funny at all cuz i had already heard 80% of his material when i saw him the 1st time.

and nah, when he did Bring The Pain, Pookie officially died b/c homie had moved on to a much larger platform than Pook, or the “one-rib” guy.
For me C Rock is more like Carlin than Pryor because he generally points out ironies and contradictions while making his point.
I seen Mike Epps live. Dude is the truth. We caught the last show of the night, he was clearly drunk and possibly high, and even though he tore it down, he either ran out of material, was too inebriated or both, with 30 minutes left in the show and just started clownin’.
Katt Williams live = ASS. Pimp Chronicles was clearly the high point of his career, cause when I went to see him he had not one funny joke.
DL Hughley was good live, but he recycles too many of his old jokes. I really went to go see him clown on the audience. Alot of people DID NOT want to sit in his line of sight.
John Witherspoon wasn’t that funny, but still a good show. Spent the first 20 minutes quoting himself from Friday and Boomerang.

u musta seen a bad witherspoon show, ive seen him 3 times and he had me losin it each time. i think he just quotes the friday lines cuz thats what alotta people wanna see and what he is constantly asked to do. i was suprised how good dude can sing. he sang alot in 2 of the shows i saw.

Also, I know alot of people don’t like her, but I’m a fan of Lisa “I bang the Blacks” Lampinelli. Since I’m very anti-political correctness, her shit is funny as heil to me.

Chris is a funny guy…. I still can’t put anyone over Pryor and Foxx.. Chirs should stick to stand up only though. His movies are some of the worst ever made (maybe it’s just his acting in those movies). Bigger and Blacker straight up classic stand up
Chris acts like J. Lo sings–it might make some money, but lawd you don’t know why.
For me, what makes Chris funny and other comedians like him–Ron Shock, bill Hicks, etc.. is they’re saying in joke form what if they said “straight” you think, okay you might have a point.
When Chris is on, i think he still does that better that most anybody. Insteada saying “funny is funny and screw you if you don’t laugh” he says, “how do i tell my truth in a way that won’t get me beat up.”
Sad part about Richard Pryor, is so much of what dude joked about was true. His mom really was a hooker. his gramma really did run a whore house… his like was like THE friggin WIRE without the jokes.
This made my week.
