That Brooklyn Southern bullshit, he on it. More trap talk. More accented dialect, so much so his voice puts me in the mind of part of the reason why Ball & MJG used to be so different and well-loved– the drawl.
And real talk, I listened to the album most of the weekend & it made my head hurt. BASS HEAVY. Marching band beatin’ down the block bass & brass. And my dumb ass can’t do shit in moderation so I just ended up crankin it up another notch or two with each song.

well, how many were going to make a special trip to the store to cop Kuntry’s album? Now how many GH diehards will grab his if they see it sitting alongside TI’s in the “new releases” section?
I don’t think it’ll help his sales tremendously but it might give them a slight boost.

“Focus” goes hard & Kuntry even manages to hold his own so Dro doesn’t completely walk off with the track. Can’t front, I was surprised with this one. Kuntry kinda overachieves & even though the album is kinda short, the production is on point, which helps make it a thorough listen. Too bad it won’t get much burn outside of the A. It has a regional sound, but if you eff with Grand Hustle, that’s prolly the sound you’re looking for. It doesn’t have a “Shoulder Lean” or “Rubberband Banks” but it still knocks from front to back.
