Lauren Brown Jarvis has sent you an invitation to ‘Sneaker
Peek 2008:Presidential Potential’
Atlanta-GA
Fashion. Footwear. Freedom.
Sneaker Peek Atlanta:
Presidential Potential invites you to unite for a cause with style. On Saturday, October 11, 2008, take part in the historic candidacy of Senator Barack Obama for President, by participating in an unprecedented fundraising event. On this date we will raise $10,000 in a single evening.
To be held at the Atlanta University Center, Sneaker Peek Atlanta: Presidential Potential, combines a live fashion extravaganza with a silent sneaker auction and a politically inspired visual arts showcase featuring a cross section of urban Atlanta’s top creative talent.
The event kicks off on Friday, October 10th with a VIP reception and silent sneaker auction. On Saturday, join us for a political fashion show and visual art showcase featuring a vast cross section of Atlanta’s creative community. Proceeds from all art, sneakers, and attire sold on event night will be put toward reaching our $10,000 aim.
Presidential Potential is focused on young professionals who are both tastemakers and politically aware. Eligible voters ages 18-35 are a crucial voting block in this year’s election cycle. Support for this fashion minded benefit is a phenomenal way to get out the vote and encourage political novices to feel a part of a historic and important cause.
Sneaker Peek Atlanta: Presidential Potential is a joint effort supported by grassroots groups all over the state, including Generation Obama, Artists for Obama, and the International Society for Africans in Wine.
With less than 60 days to election night, Sneaker Peek 2008: Presidential Potential will be a bold initiative made possible by the collaborative efforts of students, artists, entrepreneurs and activists, all working together to help us meet our goal of $10,000 for Barack Obama in one night.
For more information about this event or to schedule a media interview contact Lauren Brown Jarvis directly at, (770) 255-9354 or email isawlauren@gmail.com.
