He’s got the honor of the dropping it first, while Charles himself threw up the instrumentals and the backstory over @ his site, iamcharleshamilton.com.

wow @ trying to gain some shine off Dilla’s posthumous buzz….
^-I doubt that was his intention.

kan’t knocc dat …
@ Ben- Dilla passed like 2 years ago…”Posthumous buzz” would have gone away by now so all the “buzz” is people paying homage to the man’s greatness as a producer and human being. I believe that Charles Hamilton is just doing the same.
Maybe it’s just here but I’m starting to believe that just as we show considerable love for Charles, there are those doing their best to show their displeasure for him.

====================
Prime example, based off what Contra and David said.
I imagine that Charles probably came up listening to Dilla’s work. Given his age, Charles was most likely learning about rap while Dilla was in his prime. So it would be paying homage, not gaining “some shine.”
Did you even trouble to read his explanation for why he put this tape together?

word, I just had that conversation with somebody yesterday…
dudes need to get the whole story before they’re gonna start throwing around accusations…
I mean we’re all guilty of doing that every once in a while…
But personally I’m trying to cut down on that shit…

I’m skeptical about this one, but I’m going to give it a couple of listens and then really drop my 2 cents.
I hope you “screened” this before posting it Gotty!!!
j/k
wtf @ the backstory
most ive seen while high is…well one time i thought a panda was chasin us…n another time i saw pink elephants flyin..yea fuckin flyin
OK I just read the backstory………And I must say that I DONT GET IT! WTF is he talking about ? I know is metaphors, parallel comparisons and all that bullish….BUT WTF?????!!!!!!
Im usually pretty good at reading between the lines and inferences….But this just was too much.
Maybe I should start smokin funny little cigs again?!
i dig this kid…but his infatuation with sonic is getting kinda creepy.
^ yeah he is a talented MC; but he is one sega genesis away from trying to give little kids jesus juice.
“He wasn’t just a producer…
…he was the BEST producer.”
I was looking forward to this. And it didn’t disappoint.
Keep killin’ em Charles.
Lyrically nice, but his delivery bores me.
TURK, u and i needs to chill w/ my girl Ms Mary J
Sendspace? Smh.
If its worth checkin out then I’ll stumble on other links in the next week. I didn’t know ppl still upload albums/mixtapes on sendspace. I haven’t even downloaded a single off Sendspace in forever but albums took forever to download off Sendspace back in the day so I can’t imagine that site is any faster now.
Charlie boy just barely passes on this one. Nice mixing of the tracks, and he ripped a few of the instrumentals. Somebody in his camp need to hit up Chris Brown or T-Pain to sing his choruses though. LMAO
