MCs have displayed their singing chops for years. Whether it’s 50 Cent singing hooks in a voice that sounds like he knocked back five shots of Patron in a row or Grand Puba dropping melodies all over his tracks dating back to a duet with Mary J. Blige (if you can call it that,) MCs have always relied on a touch of R&B. So imagine my surprise when Ghostface Killah told Miss Info that his next project will be an R&B album.

I’m tempted to call ‘bull—t’ but something tells me that he’s crazy enough to attempt it. Think about it. Ghostface being part of the Wu-Tang Clan has his soul pedigree on lock. While I don’t expect him to sing, I think he can pull it off if he has the right people involved. Maybe we’ll see more of Tekitha this go-round. And his cryptic mention of ‘his wildflowers’ makes you wonder if he’s got a girl group waiting in the wings.

Another project to expand Tony Starks’ rap pedigree or spur-of-the-moment pipe dream?

Only time will tell.
