All I know is before my prepubescent mind could figure out the appeal of this cover and before I knew what fap action was, this cover always gave me a real “tingling” sensation. Mentally, I think I used to sit & glance @ it, picking a different booty to focus on each time. Over time & even then, I find myself impartial to arse number three, with it’s bronze hue highlighted by the glisten of the sun & some well placed oil.
You have to praise Luke & crew for effectively creating an untapped lane & having their way with it. Nobody did it before them & surely nobody has even come close to following in their wake.
Who else could successfully craft a song where one of the main lines is simply “head, head and mo’head.”

I got a story about this album…
this and heavy D’s big tyme came out roughly about the same time and the cat at the local moms and pops shop (where I eventually got my first job) sold out of the too live crew and I had to settle for heavy…he promised me if I didnt like it I coulb bring it back when he got his next shipment so I could get the 2 live crew album…my mom used to get her vinyl there too and one day she tells the guy at the store not to sell me anything with explicit lyrics (this was before rap albums had warnings) but by this time he had already sold me too short, slick rick and eazy e all on the low…so I brought back heavy d and got my copy of 2 live crew…man that shit made my ears tingle….up until that point I hadnt heard anything that profane and nasty so I became like a legend on my block that summer amongst other kids because no one else had heard anything like this…I was like radio raheem walking around with this big ass boom box…I used to hide under my bed and listen to this if my moms was home, I played that tape so much it popped.
the beats, the skits…this whole shit takes me back to my youth.
off the subject, but Heavy & D and the Boyz got fronted. Big Tyme was a dope album. So was peaceful Journey. Dude had like 4 hot albums. You can argue that Peaceful Journey and Big Tyme were near-classic. Good rhymes, dance beats. it was cool/mainstream accessible without being corny.
