I always bump both when smoking, though. Got my friends into CuDi when I played Embrace The Martian while we were hotboxing.
Yeah, two different sounds completely. I think w/a lot of these new cats, it’s real hit & miss b/c we are seeing & hearing early efforts by them. To me though, it’s fun to watch them grow & be glad when they do get it right on a track.

Kid Cudi is not a cold MC/lyricist. BUT he’s got good beats and offers cool songs. IDK, what can I say, I keep playing his tracks 4 weeks after first hearing him… liking the tape so far.
After I gave it a burn…..it’s aight!, it’s different and that’s extremely refreshing,I can tell it’ll be big with the stoner white kids
but everything else is starting to sound the same to me, and it’s wearing me out!
If I hear one more vocoder…….that’s NOT T-PAIN!……(he stole it from Roger Troutman, but I’ll give credit where credit’s due)….

i didnt like some of the slower songs on the gemstones mixtape…some yes, some no…when he gets amped hes a monster
