im thinkin bout doin a mixtape of big band & swing music….i stay bumpin some glenn miller, duke ellington, gene krupa, benny goodman, and such….straight gangsta music…i wonda if any1 would download it…
^ I would. It’s always good to hear other genres of music played the way we listen to music when DJ’s spin: continuously, w/ no gaps, blended on time/on beat, w/ the tracks sequenced in a way that makes sense and keeps the energy going…
kinda like Jaycee & Neil Armstrong did w/ their rock mixes…Neil did this ill mix of 80′s electro too
but yeah, if the finished project is dope, then it’ll get props…

Read the sunday paper –Q-Tip is in the music section. Hot interview breaks down his travails. Kid’s been on 6 labels in 7 years. He’s a legendary producer. (i never thought of Tip as a producer, but he’s credited with some stuff, that, at this point, i’ll just take his word on it. I’m too old to argue over stuff like this.)
His new album, The Ressurection, is coming in August.
It’s supposed to be the bizness.
