“Some of these stupid fans…”
“…were like ‘So what?’‘”
Two things I greatly admire about Joseph Budden and his trusty pen are their ability to objectively assess and describe the current state of affairs in Hip-Hop, and their proclivity to juxtapose situations and raise questions that can spark profound thoughts for days.
When these two strengths come together, the product is always something great to behold. Once Joey stops making party anthems, puts a brake on the introspection, and the woman issues, and the ballads, the remaining fiery product spewed is generally of a magical nature.
Many different sites have called this song an assessment of the current state of the game, but a quick gander at the title and a quick skim listen proves otherwise. The state of Hip-Hop is not under question. What is being assessed is the different people/factors that led to this epic demise of a once triumphant culture.
I seriously hope there’s a series of sequels to this.

Sick track. Who got a collection of old clue tapes?

I’m wondering if Joe will release an album or just continue the Mood Muzik thing. I could care less cus the music is great but still.
Feelin’ this.
Joey always knows how to break things down properly.
just read busta got dropped.
Busta Rhymes was allegedly recently dropped from the label. sources indicate that the dropping of Busta Rhymes comes just days after he had a heated argument and phone conversation over his tracks with Interscope Records President, Jimmy Iovine..
Joe is definitely on point with this song. He has the ability to channel the emotions and thoughts of certain fans into his music. I could really feel what he was saying.
Joe is the truth, lyrically untouchable
them Pu Tang niggas need to take notes
Look, bring it up and dudes get on some coy shit
(OR) was it T-Pain with that funny voice shit?
(OR) was it Lil Wayne with that funny voice shit?
-The whole game dick-rode that funny voice shit-
*ether*
i definately gotta give him his respect.
i especially enjoyed the beat of this track (original form and the remake) because im a sucka 4 that shit, but there was nothing objective about what joe budden said.
this what the culture/game/industry need:
more stand up dudes who don’t bite their tongue & walk on eggshells.
this song is my shit.
GOD BLESS JOE BUDDEN!
uh yeah look for this on Boogie Bang 15, coming…sooner, now that I heard this joint. yes!

ya’ll really are on point some times,
other times ya’ll are just so full of sh*t:
“…their ability to objectively assess and describe the current state of affairs in Hip-Hop, and their proclivity to juxtapose situations and raise questions that can spark profound thoughts for days.”

buddens ability to take a concept and disect it is unparalled .period. I remember that broken wings freestyle where he compared him and jay-z to a-rod and jeter so flawlessly..

came home drunk and listened to this on onsmash and was like damn this is the illest song I herd in a min… I am Budden fan but not how most cats are. I dont really enjoy his depressing ass songs, but when he makes joints like this its just dope.

Joe Budden needs to refill his Prozac prescription and get w/ Just Blaze to make happy uptempo club bangers

joe beezy is the truth.
“the more cats brag about not writing lyrics the more it’s sounding like they didn’t.”
Joe just aired out 90% of the industry on Who.
if the source were still relevant, this would be a 5 mic hiphop quotable.
Buddens is like that smartass cat who annoys you but it’s usually because he’s right. you just wish he wasn’t such a detached snot about it.
