With the holiday weekend, yesterday felt like Monday. The good news is, since we got that feeling out the way, Monday isn’t shaping up to be that bad of a day. But that Law & Order SVU marathon had me cemented to the couch for real & feeling undoubtedly lazy as a result.
Anyways, today’s listening material shall be The War Report.
Capone-N-Noreaga – The War Report
And for those of you back @ the job this morning, where screaming out “What?!? What?!?” across the cubicles might be frowned upon…
Bonus — The War Report Instrumentals
Just rock to the instrus til you get off work.
Has anyone really ever taken notice to the number of quality producers who had a hand in this album, even though it was a debut album from a relatively unheard of and unaffiliated group?
EZ Elpee, Carlos “6th July,” Buckwild, Lord Finesse, Marley Marl & Clark Kent. Not shabby in the least & they crafted a timeless set of beats.

CUT YA HAND OFF!
FUCK!
NORE!!!
HOMEBOY….I CAME TO PARTEEEEEE!
From Iraq to Kuwait…this joint is timeless. Too bad they’ll never recapture the vibe of this one. Capone & Nore need to throw this joint in & try to remember how a CNN album is supposed to sound.
“From Iraq to Inglewood…it all good.”
Driver’s Seat was My ish!
I thought I was the only TSS’er camped out in front of the tube yesterday watching fine ass Benson do her thing.
SVU is my favorite L&O but CI is catching up as well, can’t help but watch Goren do his “crazy cop” act.
New York get the Bloody Money
Yea this is my shit. I remember he day I purchased it, because few albums have impressed me like this on on a first listen. I was at the music spot at the mall and all I figured it would be good because it was the 90′s and there was a Queensbridge affiliation, plus joints like “Stick You” “LA, LA” and “T.O.N.Y.” had been floating around, but I put on the headphones at the listening station and I was like DAAAAAAMN, I gotta cop this like NOW.
“Has anyone really ever taken notice to the number of quality producers who had a hand in this album, even though it was a debut album from a relatively unheard of and unaffiliated group?”
Well, they were co-signed by Tragedy, who was co-signed by Marley Marl. Plus they had some hot underground singles, and back then, if you had heat in the underground, people up top would fuck with you. (AZ, The LOX, Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz are examples). And also the fact that Capone and Nore were real street aggins with reputations might have added to their musical props.
This is what im talking about Gotty, a much needed boost of adrenaline laced with CNN…Good looks my dude…CNN Once Again…Capone And…Capone and Noreaga…
