“They On Another Level…”
GENERAL By TC on June 18, 2008 at 2:24 pmWith all these bonus tracks getting scattered separately between iTunes and numerous retailers, it’s fairly easy for a few tracks to fly off your radar. And for the most part, it’s justifiable. If the artist doesn’t feel obligated to add particular tracks to their LP, it’s probably because they’re leftovers from what the toilet paper missed.
Too bad for “Hello.”
Omitted from Timbaland’s Shock Value last year, this sonically enhanced banger would have been a welcomed addition to an album that was quite frankly, more miss than hit. It also shows how time and time again Keri Hilson is like Ms. Dash to every track she’s featured on. With a magnetic voice that captivates every note she clings onto with an irresistible charm, she provides an “it” factor that hopefully will transcend to her solo debut due later this year. Say “Hello” for possibly the first time to a diamond in the rough that probably was shipped overseas to solely score points on an album.

any fuckin artist who doesnt respectonize that tune is out of their fucking tree
JAJA @ “respectonize”!
But yea Nas is one of those dudes who’s unreleased shit is almost better than his official shit, and the good thing for cats like me is that most of that stuff came out on limited vinyl, so it’s fun to hunt them down for the archives.
I heard “aint I” was supposed to be on Shock Value too but Jay didnt meet the deadline
Agree@ Gotty lol. She’s sexy as hell.. This track has an Aliyah “One in a Million” feel to me though.

I was going back to Gotty’s original Jesus and The Kid post and found this little nugget in the comments:
“Dart_Adams Says:
@ Juan:
Fuck you. If you have an image of a typical “Boston fan” being an almost drunk obnoxious Irish guy then I’d gladly bring to the Metro Boston area where you’ll find out that the outdateD media image of a Boston sports fan doesn’t necessarily fit anymore. ”
Funny thing is when I turned on the news this morning, all I see is drunken White Irish dudes, setting fires, busting windows, and generally vandalizing shit all over that Boston area. Boston fans are the worst. And can you imagine if it had been a bunch of Black and P Rican cats doing that shit-the type of national coverage and Bill O’Reilly type fuckery you’d be hearing about for weeks would be on ridiculous levels.

GET EM BUCK!!!!!!!!!
Tres chill.
I’m a Boston fan, who rooted for an atypical black Celts team, with a black coach. I went out and got zooted off liquor amongst blacks, ricans, whites, and one fine ass asian stunner at the bar. When the game was obnoxiously out of hand, I left mid-4th like many cats there. My boys look just like me, listened to hip-hop our whole lives and we are not the only ones. Boston fans are just as die hard as Philly fans. It’s a blue collar city, and we have our race issues JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER PUEBLO IN THE USA. Granted it’s a large irish town, so you’re gonna get some bag pipes too (lol), but the media is the media is the media and it wasn’t as bad as it might’ve been depicted…at least not where I stood.
I humbly stand corrected.
lol
it’s all good, fam. trust me, it’s stifling here at times w/the covert racism, etc, but then again, it’s no diff than many places I’ve seen or been when you break it down.
BTW
the friggin’ sound of bagpipes scares every drop of melanin in my body whenever I have the misfortune of hearing them.
I’ve always felt the need to say that.
scare might be strong…
let’s say irritates…shakes the Venom Off my Spider-Man…
sumn to that effect.
what a horrid, wretched sound.
I just wanna hear her falsetto, nawmeen..
The bad thing is i forgot this song was not on the album because I added it to mine :) HELLLLLOOOO KC = FTW
keri, keri, keri, keri, keri, keri….(takes a breath)…keri, keri, keri, keri, keri, keri
