That “Cuddle Bums” track is my joint!!! I have to hear that Guilty though fa’sho’ as well. The mixtapes this year have been on point so far; anybody else notice it’s been sort of a drought on the album side of things??? I mean projects are coming out but it seems that the artist mixtapes are getting more attention/rotation/praise. Maybe it’s just me, I don’t know.
Eminem is back in the lab. According to MTV reports, Slim Shady was hospitalized late last year and had become not so slim in the process but he recently went live to clear all rumors on Shade45.
Although unscheduled to appear, Em decided to call in to Tony Touch’s show while LL Cool J was on. Slim pretended to be a called from Miami who challenged LL to a game of “Name That Tune.” LL agreed to the game, not knowing it was Eminem and finally said, “You sound good saying them joints. Damn, B. That sounds like you need to write some bars, homie.” Em gave himself up by reciting lyrics from his own track, “Lose Yourself.”
Finally, he admitted to being a fan since childhood and asked LL to chill with him and peep the Finals.
“Listen, man, you got this relationship with Dre. You’re cool with 50, so when are we gonna hang out? I got cable at my house, and the game is on.”
Finally, on the music side of the convo, Em noted that he is actually hitting the lab.
“Everything is good. I’m just in the studio now working on songs.”
That is yet to be seen, since there have been rumors of an Em album and a D-12 album for quite some time now.

This has been a good year for mixtapes/street albums so far…the question is, when will the labels realize that this is the ish real Hip-Hop heads wanna hear, not the sanitized, commercialized, geared for the mainstream BS that has been making it’s way to the retail chains.
But I digress…money makes the world go round & as long as people continue to support the frisbees that the majors keep churning out, the longer the real ish will be relegated to the mixtapes.
BTW-The Charles Hamilton & Bishop Lamont joints are pure piffery.
