YN & Gotty™ Present Hard Body Female Spit Vol. 5
AUDIO By Gotty™ on May 19, 2008 at 2:12 pm“Take that! Take that! Take that!”
I think the spirit of Elliott Wilson, better known as YN, is gettin’ into me. I’m feeling unusually spirited for a Monday morning – I think it’s a combo of P’s Rickey Retardo graphics and actually leaving a few of these songs on repeat while.
I would draw things out & give you a long-winded intro, but I’ll allow ex-EIC the room & space to run this joint while I chill & snack on this pack of Skittles.

Five On It
Feels good to be home! Back doing what I do best on a Monday: Putting together another Hard Body Female Spit compilation for the hip-hop nation. Yup, ego trip’s Miss Rap Supreme Show on VH1 was off last week so there was no YN guest blog spot—anywhere (look it up!). But after 14 long days I’m back like I forgot my Kangol. And who better to return to burn with than my dude Gotty™ and The Smoking Section squad.
That’s right the mighty TSS and YN. A Wilson Media LLC/Rawkus collaboration? Shit, we ain’t done broke bread since ego trip’s Big Playback album. Wow. You see what goes around comes back around again. Someone kiss Blak Shawn on the forehead for me. Pause!
Anyways, before we get to the sounds: Props to Gotty for puttin’ me on and up on his Speedyshare ways. (Ayo technology! Did you hear them play the instrumental when they introduced the Celts in yesterday’s game? No wonder they won. Ha!) OK, one yourself! Back to biz: ego trip’s Miss Rap Supreme tonight at 10. You’ll see YN again my friends.
Jay-Z featuring Amil – “Can I Get A…”
YN: Ms. Whithead is synonymous with wasted opportunity.
Gotty™: Heard she be giving hell to chicks with 11 items at the 10 items or less line down at Walmart.
Jay-Z featuring Foxy Brown – “Paper Chase”
Gotty™: I was gonna go with The Firm’s “La Familia” but Fox sounds much better beside Jay. Plus, those “gutter bitch” references > Italiano extra Mafioso verses.
YN: Ditto, niggas.
Masta Ace featuring LeSchea, Lord Digga and Paula Perry – “The B-Side”
YN: Another BK diva wins again.
Gotty™: There’s one that never comes up on the iPod.
YN: Do you like scratching? Cut it in Mellow!
Gotty™: Boo made me want to slapbox with this joint. She’ll walk up to yo’ fuckin door…”na na na nee na nahhhh.”
YN: No 16 spit but still so gutter.
Gotty™: Say you don’t a.) think of Black college football or b.) want to hit the rink & rollerskate backwards when you hear this.
Jadakiss featuring Eve and Styles P “It’s Time I See You”

YN: A lil greasy talk in the name of Double R.
Gotty™: Eve E sounded just like one of the guys with her opening lines.
Gotty™: “And by 5:15, she was gone.” Still a dope song though.
YN: One-hit wonder! Word to Khia.
Gotty™: Coming-of-age-when-I-get-there theme song.
YN: Stay retired! Ha… Just playing. Go remix your shit with Bussa-Bus.
Fat Joe featuring Remy Ma “Opposites Attract”
Gotty™: Not only opposites but dykes & geckos too!
YN: I wouldn’t hold my breath for a reunion.
Ja Rule featuring Charli Baltimore – “Down Ass Bitch”
Gotty™: Only because one of my jumpoffs who used to ride shotgun & loved this shit. Prolly would’ve pulled the Derringer out & gave somebody a good flesh wound too.
YN: Chuck and The INC? Perfect match. Small flame.
Trina featuring Mannie Fresh “Da Club”
YN: Still cracks me up like a Chappelle rerun.
Gotty™: You sure this is “featuring” Mannie? The lil chubby fella owns it with the hook.
Young Zee featuring Eminem and Rah Digga – “We Just Came To Party”
YN: Making music with your boo and the baddest white boy to ever touch a mic (sorry Mr. Berrin)? Yup here’s one lucky lady.
Gotty™ When I think of Rah & Zee, I always picture Jazz & Jewel from the Fresh Prince.
Lauryn Hill featuring Pras & Wyclef AKA The Fugees – “Zealots”
YN: Will we ever stop longing for Mama Marley’s vintage sounds?
Gotty™: I really know L’s whole verse…on every song on the album.
Cam’ron & Charli Baltimore – “Me & My Boo”
Gotty™: Doesn’t it just give you a mushy feeling? Ahh, for the good times.
YN: If Killa and Chuck are just friends, does Gotty have a chance?
Lox featuring Lil Kim and DMX “Money, Power and Respect”
YN: Greatest Hard Body female hook ever!
Gotty™: And Kim’s got which one again?
Three 6 Mafia featuring Le Chat “Baby Mama”
YN: So hoooddd! We global now, Gotty!
Gotty™: “Yeeeeaaainnn’tknoooww”

What about that chick from Cormega’s crew??? I think her name is Donya and she has a pretty grimey voice for a lady; had bars for days on that “Legal Hustle” album.
@ Gotty: You and Yellow Nigg go waaaaaaay back huh??? I swear the both of you have good chemistry; y’all need to start your own publication!!!
Heard she be giving hell to chicks with 11 items at the 10 items or less line down at Walmart.

nice.cosign money power respect being such a hard body female hook. One thing that got me from that whole album is how hilarious Puffy’s ad-libs were. Comedy in retrospect.
You’re everything i do
since y’all featurin’ Gangsta Boo (???) and Le Chat (????), how about “RPM” by Shawnna featuring a murderous verse from Twista and Ludacris on the hook? i know YN has a never ending grudge against anything DTP but in the name of “hard body female spit” c’mon now. Shawnna will serve them 2 bitches on the mic any day…

*smirks harder*
MC Lyte = Greatest female rapper
Antoinette the female Rakim
Lady of Rage fuggetaboutit
Biggies lil Kim was the illest
cosign on the Mia X…she had some ill No Limit Verses
and a biiiiig ol’ cosign on the RPM track so I guess I’m smirking too
That RPM joint was crazy…Shawnna held Her own with Twista on that one…
That RPM joint was crazy…Shawnna held Her own with Twista on that one…
Co-sign on MC Lyte, she’s ill plus sexy as fuck!!!
i love that jean grae joint. wtf is up with her retirement bs?
oh shit!!!
yo nas changed his album title. its gonna be a self titled album now.
@ Dao: Yeah, just heard that shit on that NahRight blog. You think the head-honchos at DefJam/Universal talked him out of it???
He’s shook…but no on actually thought “Nigger” was gonna hit the shelves of Wal-Mart, did they?
Speaking of NahRight, the dudes that comment on that site/blog are straight geeks/losers. Thank god for the intelligent heads at TSS man!!! I was reading some of the comments on there and nothing, if barely anything, was related to the topic at hand. Just a bunch of random gibberish and shit-talk.
@ Amp: I was just waiting to hear some cat walk into HMV and say “did that NIGGER album come out yet?”, to which the person behind the counter would say to his co-worker “do we got that NIGGER album in stock?”, which would trigger the response “yeah, let me check the system for price & stock on that NIGGER”. I’d film that shit and YouTube it!!!!
LOL@ Flea
but you aint lying, some of those cats come up with statements like they are off there meds!! Word to Souljah Girl!!!
what about ‘call me’ by too short & lil kim?
i bet nas knew he was gonna have to change the name of the album eventually… the publicity really worked for a while, tho.
From now on, since it really doesn’t have a title (“Nas”), we should just refer to it as “the album formerly known as ‘N*gger’”
Lil’ Kim = best female rapper ever
whoaaaaah….i dunno bout that ^^
i would put Jean Grae, Rah Digga, Bahamedia, or Lauryn’s crazy ass ahead of Kim.
i havent seen anybody comment on that Chester French ft Talib Kweli & Res ‘ Fall Back’ joint…the shits bumpin.
Please. Kim got a catalog dog. Something none of the aforementioned chicas can claim…
YoYo hehe
Eve- was monsterious on her first LP if only she could get that bac…
Lauryn –
Miseducation puts em all in the sleeper
and The Score & Blunted On Reality off the top rope
Hands down co-sign Lil Kim ^
Anybody that’s still saying B.I.G wrote 4 her just better be waitin for the Divavelli set cause his azz is writtin from the grave too…
Anybody remember that old 2pac poem “When your Hero falls”? Thats pretty much how i feel about Nas nowadays. For the last couple years infact.
how can u say Lauryn doesnt have a catalog? plus she actually wrote all her material. i like Kim, but she didnt write most of her early shit- so i cant consider her as the best.
mama mia was dope in her heyday. she was nice with riding the beat…and the gravy train to the dinner table.
that broad was big one…but she was kinda cute.
^ Rah Digga above Kim pls…
Miseducation ain’t even a rap album and those other two ain’t solos. Kim’s last two (solo) albums were beasts. I gotta give credit when its due. The fact that she opts to be a “bitch” rather than a “sista” and rocks daisies instead of pants rubs a lot of people the wrong way but it is what it is…
She perfected that sexually charged niche of hers and is really Big Momma to inferiors like Trina and Khia. She can rock an entire show off collabos alone, and I ain’t talkin’ the ones you can name off top. Songs like “You Get Dealt Wit” off that 1st JD or most recently K. Cole’s “Let It Go” will get the job done. Respect Ms. G.O.A.T.
Yeah, Lauryn or Jean is the closet we had to a female Nas but they couldn’t hang and I couldn’t name you one classic Jean Grae…(probably cuz there is none)
That Rah digga was worth the price of admission. I want to pnch Rick Brown in the face for fucking this project up.
Queen B—-
Lyrically I dust-em off like pledge…
Queen b, diamond cluster hustler, supreme b, clean b, disease free b…
Got buffons eatin my p—- while I’m watching cartoons…
I’m rich Imma stay that b….
& it only gets better over the years…
anyone have the RALPHIGE CD?
If Common dropped a Miseducation-esque album and it was dope, we’d call it a rap album. When Mos Def does his thing, we call it rap. Same when for the really good stuff Bone thugs did.
But Lauryn’s album ain’t rap/hiphop?
C’mon now, TC.
And I said her other joints were collabs/group releases (save for her unplugged joint, which was better lyrically—strictly lyricall speaking—than most polished studio efforts from 85% of the dudes dropping.
And if you’re gonna go strictly by solo, non-guest efforts, you’d have to rule out a whole mob of male emcees that everyone loves so much.
Kim may trump Lauryn on quantity, but Lauryn’s lyrics make the majority of Kim’s “abundance”…
and the fact that Big “prolly” wrote a good portion of her earlier work takes a few points off…
What about Apani B & Tiye Phoenix???
edit
Kim may trump Lauryn on quantity, but the quality Lauryn’s lyrics make the majority of Kim’s “abundance” seem silly…
I’m with Diggahoe on this on: Lauryn Hill hands down. I almost wrote off her “Mis-education” album until I heard it; the times that she did spit she went hard-body. I always thought Lil’ Kim was just a female Biggie clone. If we’re talking greazy bitches now then I’ll give the title to Remy Ma, she’s a bad bitch!!!
“I’m telling you man, that bitch is harder than that fat nigga” – 50 Cent
rebith of slick….
im kinda upset with Nas for switchin up the title…
makes him look real silly for the whole ‘Nigger’ publicity bullshit….he looks soft for cavin in an changin the name…

Before the dumb out, Lauryn went hard…

Basically if you can’t vibe with me on how strong La Bella Mafia and The Naked Truth then obviously you’re not qualified to even have this debate. I mean Naked Truth got 5 Mics and while I disagree, mainly due to length, if it was considered by somebody speaks volumes. Kim’s early work didn’t solidfy her regardless on who wrote it but on the same token, Bahamadeia or Jean Grae ain’t got nothing that can see “Queen Bitch” or “Suck My D!ck.”
And anyway you look at it Miseducation ain’t a rap album. What she rap on “Lost Ones,” That Thing,” Final Hour,” and small parts on “Superstar” and “Everything Is Everything???” That’s the minority of the album. Mos Def did his crooning on all 3 of his albums, but he rapped for the majority of them. Its like a shooting guard playing 2 seasons in the NBA and finishing with 70% from the 3 point line. Obviously he had skills but no way his he the best cuz he didn’t prove himself to be able to go the distance like the true Hall Of Famers…
password in parenthesis (www.inter-latino.com)
forget the http jawn
sorry for the multiple entries
I hear ya on the Kim, and even to some degree on the crooning on Miseducation, but if you take the emceeing she DID do on Miseducation, plus the lyrics she spit on The Score (another classic album), and the lesser known work on the Fugees album, I have a hard time seeing KIM as the GOAT.
To me, this is more like the Emmitt Smith/Barry Sanders debate. Emmitt got the all-time rushing mark, but to most of us, regardless of the fact he stepped off early, Barry was, the better, more pure running back.
*** – and the lesser known work on the Fugees FIRST album
I’m lunchin’ today
Until somebody comes thru & just floors the world, L will remain on top.
I never really got into Kim, not as an artist putting out complete albums. Singles, appearances? yeah, she rips it. but stomaching a whole album of her? hell no.

Solid comparison…even though I’d have a hard time puttin’ Kim anywhere near that level lol.
Yo, OED, I emailed you sir. Get back @ me….pronto – Cru.
^ Gotcha.
Hurricane G = best female rapper.
Also rate: Foxx Boogie from Mash Out Posse.
Foxy Brown is a retard compared^
@ OED
I hear ya and with all her said contributions, she probably established herself as the purest female on the mic ever…but I can’t give her the title of “best.” Not when I got artists in my collection with 4+ albums that a great deal of quality material. No cop outs, no could’ve should’ve would’ves, no Len Bias’ over here…
*ignores Frank & Gotty*
Black Canseco is on point with Medusa…she spits some of the roughest ish…
These Hard Body’s are totally missing the left side of the map..
Holla @ Medusa,The Conscious Daughters & Marvaless to start with..
Have ya’ll katz even heard Kim…
I think ya’ll dismissin her cause of her attitude towards dic… Yeah I said it— & she says too suck hers too…
In my early college dayz she was on the yard just killin, str free style… now ya’ll fellow TSSer’ and Gotty give The Naked Truth a listen that shit had like 19or so tracks a complete album some shit these “femcees” can’t and probably won’t match as of yet. I’m not saying it’s the best of her work When it’s her Last Day……

My bad I think my phone got the jump off…
My point was just give her a good open minded listen without her pic
I am now experiencing technical difficulties———————————————————————————————–ya’ll get the point shit
As much as I like Kim, you can’t put her over other female MC’s who write their own rhymes. If you want to say she is a better entertainer. I can agree with that; but best female MC. Nah not writing your own rhymes is a MAJOR minus.
G. Thats it.
I thought I was going to start another blog…but I think imma body myself instead. Uhhh I hate.love.hate you.
^ hehe…hush you. you gotta keep going.
That’s like saying Snoop ain’t no good MC for having ghost writers pls….
If Snoop USED TO write his rhymes, then he USED TO BE a good MC.
If he doesn’t write his rhymes anymore, he’s an entertainer, and doing NOTHING any different than Puff Diddy Daddy and his brigade of rhyme writers….and I’m EXTREMELY reluctant to start calling Puff an MC any time soon.
wonder if anyone is gonna mention those lovely girls the bay area….the conscious daughters?
There should be two categories for emcees: Those who write and those who employ Ghostwriters.
Country Music is notoriously accepting of this. practice. They treat the singers who writer their own songs very different from those who hire songwriters; yet both are equally accepted because country sees the beauty and neccesity in both.
The songwriter/composer gets their love while the “entertainer” gets their shine, too.
Coltrane would’ve been just as legendary for his horn playing, yet had their been a separate composer, that cat that wrote everything would’ve gotten his/her shine too.
then again, maybe that’s the problem. we respect the performance more than the composition.
i’d still love to see folks treat emcees who write differently from those who don’t.
not worse or better, but see the differences.
Even in sports like Bodybuilding the competitions are divided into two categories–”natural” and “all”. “Naturals” as in Mr. Natural Olympia–is steroid-free and competes only against other steroid-free beefcakes.
This shit is amazing. Read it yesterday on my phone. We need more of these!
CHARLIE B-MORE MADE THE LIST 2WICE..IT DONT SURPRISE ME..I MET HER ACOUPLE TIMES..THATS A REAL BITCH RIGHT THERE
