I am not a N.E.R.D. fan, even though I’ve been making my way to the darkside after seeing them perform. As awkward as this track sounded to me originally, it’s left an indelible mark on my brain and I’m paying attention for Seeing Sounds. Not expecting a monumental album, but I fully expect to get a few chunes for the playlist.

I’ve been a N.E.R.D. fan forever now, they’re not for everyone. I only really got onto them because I had some Skater friends, which is what their base mainly is, well was back in like 2002 when I got on them. This song’s okay, but doesn’t seem like the style they had on their first CD to me.

Isn’t that good in a way? I’ve listened to their music as a recording group & we’ve all heard their production. It’s always been evolving and changing, experimenting going on, etc. That’s always been a slight plus with them for me.
N.E.R.D is rapping for the ladies to get wild and attract the female population to the shows, I think thats why the dudes are like “huh” and ladies have the hooks on repeat…I can see em at the club now singing “$100 bill look at youuuu”
Any artist pushing the line for creativity always gets at least a listen…even if it’s wack, at least they’re trying to do something outside the box, as opposed to all the Cats with the sheep mentality who basically follow whatever the new trend/sound is.

Maybe you missed the meaning of the song Everyone NOSE. Pharrell attracts women to the shows — but it isn’t a Pharrell show like the probably expected.
The subliminals in that song are likely to go over alotta Cats heads…

I’m really checking for seeing sounds, I like the way their sound has evolved, as i said in that mickey factz post, his In Search Of NERD mixtape had me checking for them again, they’ve got quite a few mellow bangers IMO

True. It wasnt untill today that I noticed that song was about Cocaine…. Like back in the day when I found out Pac’s “Me and my girlfriend” was about a gun… I was like say what?

This song is quality. I like this song because it actually talks about the party scene and how it’s almost run by coke. You got coke you run shit at the parties. Girls love it and will do almost anything for it. It’s crazy. I like the breakdown where they show how guys do it. they don’t tell em it’s wrong they tell em to go with them they help em out so they can have more fun after they feed em more drinks it’s all a crazy scene..the video shows it. Also the video shows that half of the people only get stuck on the sing a longs and never really try to understand the lyrics. N.E.R.D killed this song by putting a HUGE message in a dancy song..Right where it belongs.
