I guess I’m first, huh?
(c) Juvenile
I think I remember Turk (gasp…imagine that) & B.G.’s shit more off this one.
since I ain’t gotta pay for shit, I guess I really don’t have an excuse to NOT listen and be my usual closed-minded self…
is this album a good jump-off point to get familiar with vintage Cash Money…?
this album’s definitely worth a free download…i bought it back in the dizzay, even though at the time the only one in the group i was feelin (pause) was juvenile…it’s well worth it if you’ve got a whip with a system
2nd best Cash Money album…

*Bangers in bold.
is this album a good jump-off point to get familiar with vintage Cash Money…?
===============================================
I don’t think there IS a such thing as vintage Cash Money. But I do co-sign “I Need a Hot Girl.”
TC’s bangers differ slightly from mine because…
a.) my memory is shabby.
b.) he’s a herb.
If you notice, he didn’t mark “Clear The Set” or “Bout Whatever”, with the latter being a strong favorite of mine.
Fool even put “light bold” on “Help.”
Therefore…
Gotty’sâ„¢ bolds > TC’s
I bought this CD the day it dropped and it stayed in my car until it was stolen (the cd) last summer
this is when music started takin a turn for the worse
^ :|
Music took a turn for the worse when Diddy blew up.
I wouldn’t call it “vintage” CMR (that’d go to that old B.G. shit), but I’d say they were pretty much all on point w/this one.
Sherm you already know dat answer ha! They set it of with that album ha! The public loved em’ ha! They was rockin’ Gibauds with white tees and blunt leaves ha! Stuck in they teeth ha! Juve said it was 400 Degrees ha! Had ducks get buck to Back Dat Ass Up ha! Put the first dent in that tank ha! Rapped about that dank ha! Switched from Nikes to Reeboks ha! Magnolia whoadie head shots like Boadie ha! Even had Jay on the remix ha! Mannie Fresh got props minus the fro box ha! Put B.G. on ha! Lil’ Wayne was lame and Turk had no name ha! Fuck this shit ha! I did this in 40 seconds and nigga sold 4 mil ha!
I swear Gotty’sâ„¢ picks are on point. Same and only joints I listened to when that disc dropped.
Yo Gotty, not the rapper ha! “Help’s” beat is tight but the lyrics a crapper ha! Like dem dumb ass skits ha! You’s the herb ha! It was herb that got your memory lookin’ like Baby’s first turd ha! After some a fat burger ha! Take that hate outta your comments Dirk, that was the nerve ha! I mean the joint ha! Diddy ruined Hip-Hop like Wayne runnin’ it ha! It will never happen! Ignore the weak rappin’ ha! Ignore Gottsdales rants ha! Like his name was Greums and he was posting dead links ha!
lmao @ tc…that’s what i thoguth you’d say but i wasn’t sure
^^^ thought
man…this album straight ran MS/LA when it came out. To this day, the DJ can cut out the music on Wayne’s verse for “I need a hot girl” and let the club recite it.
One of the more memorable albums out the clique
TC buggin
“Help” was B.G. when he was sober & on point w/this album.
Wayne on “Hot Girl”? As much as I hate the song (b/c BET & radio played it the fuck out) I can’t wait for Wayne’s verse…
“I like’em hot, the ones that don’t tell me to stop
Eat dick swallow the cum, and they know how to pop
I need a project bitch, a hoodrat bitch…”
Shiiitttttt – Clay Davis.
The Sean Bell incident was a senseless murder, but the verdict to the case was even more outrageous. Since then, an overflowing amount of people have given their support to the Bell family, helping out anyway they can. In light of this injustice,Junior , a close friend of Sean Bell and the other men involved in the incident, came to the owners of Fashion Hurtz to have them design something to the spread the word. They were more then willing to provide their support, designing this t-shirt and also be sending Sean Bell’s family 25% of the earnings they make. The tees have already been endorsed by Trent Benefield, who was shot by the cops as well, and some other friends of the Sean Bell. If you would like to purchase the shirt to express your support of Bell family, then pick up one today. Now Available at Fashion Hurtz’s Online Store.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
wasnt it all around the same time? when the ‘bling bling’ era took ova…..
*laughs*
@ TC
@ Dirk & Gotty: You’re both right, end of ’96 is when shit went downhill. I can’t front though, Cash Money had quite a few anthems man.
On the real…
Shit ain’t NEVER go downhill. YN just wrote on how he was talking bout they figured “Hip-Hop” was dead—-in 1995. U can go “back in the day” and look @ the slew of wack reviews they had back then. There’s always good, “real” Hip-Hop coming out…it just feels different
@ TC: Between you and Contra I always get the impression that music is downhill like the US stock market!!! LOL!!!
b.) he’s a herb.
————————————————————————————————-
That was hilarious
Didn’t they just put out a ten year greatest hits album or some shit?
Get It How You Live>This.
That’s a good point to check out CMR in it’s finest.
I sure do feel like saying “If y’all don’t know yet, don’t even bother checking,” but my conscious is saying that you all should just peep and recognize classic southern shit.
I found it 10 Years of Bling, Vol. 1
Apparently there’s going to be more than one volume.
LOL!
ur crazy if u think music hasnt gone downhill…
there was so many more good albums dropping in the 90s then there has been in the 2000s
*walks up in post with Reeboks, baggy-ass Girbauds hanging off his ass, big ol’ white tee, waving solja rag wildly*
sup Whoadie
i’ll be damned if this wasn’t the precursor for a lot of the shit out now…oh wait, the same dude doin’ it then is the same dude doin’ it now
i kinda fux wit this tho…I should’ve eased up on that Company Flow back then to make room for this…lol
Of course the 90′s were better but there’s still plenty of material to load up on this decade
LMAO @ Teef’s hourly transformation
vintage cashmoney would be anyting 400 degreez and earlier.
anything when manny fresh was making his tracks with his in house musicians Berewolf and Funky Fingaz his bass and keyboard players…around the G.W. came out manny was working a more synthesizer friendly sound, I often wonder what happened to those dudes, Im sure it was credit and money issues.
when manny worked with them they had so much richer quality beats…go back and listen to BG all on you volume 2 or Big Timers how you love that vol 1 & 2 then listen to G code and tell me what the difference is.
the best cash monty album you never heard was kilo G Da bloody fifth.
The 90′s had dope material for sure but the 2000′s have been pretty good also. I think the only difference is that in the 90′s more memorable music was made, as opposed to now where there is more music made but less classic, memorable material.
what ever music you was listenin to around the time you first started gettin laid is gonna always be what the best to you…in twenty years some thirty something dude is gonna be like ” you remember lil jons get low?…
….they dont make music like that anymore!”
@ Petey: Ha Ha!! That’ll be funny man, two 60 year old dudes talking about “Remember that Plies joint?? Buss It Baby?? That used to get me maaad pussay back in the day!”
@ Petey: I was just gonna say, that there’s no way a thirty something dude would remember that shit. Hahaha. Get Low came out in like what ’03?
well…. I didnt take time to do the actuall math but yall understand what I was getting at.
“man soulja boy was our generations anthem”
*Remembers the point in time when Ca$h Money had like 3 or 4 different videos on the RAP CITY countdown at the same time.
….and umm…yeah this album was FIRE!
Gotty- Caint believe you left out “Ridin” That horn/flute type noise makes that song a repeat offender by itself.
On Tuesday. You can fuck all day.
