That was Organized Noize and you can’t tell “West Savannah” or “Aquemini” ain’t got that dirty South flow. And the subject matter? Just about every song on ATLiens is like a freestyle session. They actually crafted songs that have been discussed for the past decade on Aquemini. Easily the better album whether you can pop it in and ride around to it or not. It’s bigger than that.
He didn’t contradict that, but that would prolly make Aquemini his #3???….

The 10th is on the Elevators RMX at the end, so 9 or 10 depending on how you look at it. I say they got paid for 10, so 10…
so 10 out of 15 tracks on ATL, and 4 out of 16 on Aquemini.
One thing I will admit, ONP used to go in on the producion tip. WTF happened? Their output nowadays is limited to the R&B single here or the throwaway Bubba Sparxxx joint there. They need to find a new muse & a young spitter worthy of their production talents cause I miss that distinctive southern boom bap they used to lace ‘Kast & GOODie Mob with.
@ OED & Amp…(steps on soapbox) i implore you cats that if you have a few hours here and there on at least 1 Sat a month…to reach out to your local chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters and get involved. shit is mad easy and makes a world of difference to these kids. males…especially black males…are so lacking in the volunteering effort that i’m sure you’d be welcomed with open arms. real talk.
think of it this way: a little time here and there with a lil mofo from around the way will help them appreciate the finer things in life….like real hiphop. the more youngun’s up on good music will cut down on some of the bullshit we here nowadays…hopefully.
off jump, my lil homies know that when we’re riding out that they’re not listening to the radio in my whip. i definitely try not to play them songs with too much cursing in it (which can be hard since i typically never fuck with censored songs) but a lot of them dig them “songs that kanye, jay, etc. sampled”. the original tracks always blow their fucking minds. like music ain’t exist before they were born and shit…haahha.
now tomorrow….in Ghost’s class, we’ll be studying Wale as well as a lil GoGo since dude used to rap over it a lot in his first few mixtapes.

I work w/kids daily & have for nearly a decade. At times it’s trying & a fuckin headache, but rewarding in many ways as well.

I USED TO work w/ kids when I was in and out semesters back in the college daze, and I got just as much out of it as I think they might’ve. A lotta them rugrats made it to college and most stayed outta trouble.
I think when my daughter gets older and I get a little bit more time to chop it up w/ em, I’ma get back to that, for real.
I’m busy tryin to be a positive role model fo My little Girl as well. But as someone who was raised in “The Hood” & had His Pops around as well as a couple of Mentors (both white & black) to help guide Me as I was coming up, I definitely realize the importance of strong role models in a young Kid’s life . Hopefully, in a couple years, I’ll be in a better position to pass on whatever knowledge/life experience I have to someone who needs it.

This was the first time I actually gave Wale a good listen. His vocal tone at times is reminiscent of Kanye, but he is definitely way more lyrical. So far is comparisons to Wayne, I think Wale is two steps ahead probably because he doesn’t hold on to them styrofoam cups. He crushes these two comparisons on the track “The Vacation From Ourselves” where he talks about his likeness to other rappers and being original. This mixtape is better than most of these aggins albums!
