Too Gangsta For Radio…

Sometimes the Westcoast is too G’d up.
Even though it’s in their blood (or Crip….), it’s the main reason The W has been neglected by mainstream fans for the past decade. The music may be just as quality, and the emcees just as talented, but if the majority of casual FM fans can’t relate…it isn’t selling. That’s why it’s the music business, not the credibility business.
Now that’s out of the way, here’s a new track by Oxnard, CA’s ROC C.
The song, called “Gangsta,” features two of 2009’s hottest emcees, Crooked I and Glasses Malone. Each with their own unique flow, all three rappers go hard over a simply synthesized beat that’s built for the radio. For those reasons, a lot of people will surely be feelin’ this track.
Unfortunately, for reasons I mentioned from the get, “Gangsta” will probably never get a single spin outside of the Golden State.

My sentiments exactly lol
damn, no zshare? i kind of agree with you about the West being too gangsta for radio…another reason they were strugglin for a while there was because, honestly, there was a deficiency of quality music coming from the region…obviously the underground shit was there, but that’s exactly where it was…underground…but it’s ironic that the very artist who pretty much singlehandedly brought the west back (Game) is as gangsta as they come.
this song is drenched in wack sauce.
^Says someone w/the handle “Jaydon The Don.”
