You know what Gotty, this is so funny. Like 2 weeks ago I was looking for the RS link or torrent for that cd. No RS links and the torrent said 2 weeks to download cuz only one seed, and errbody’s download stopped at 80%.
So I bought it… And haven’t shared it with anyone. It is a banging ass cd. You should go out and buy it. Worth the 7.99. I dig it for the band.

I genuinely don’t see it leaking. I’m not even a diehard Roots album fan (I prefer them live). I’m just more curious @ how the machine is keepin it under wraps.
They’ve given out quite a few songs & shit, released some vids, done quite a bite of interviews, etc. Is that enough to a.) keep folks anticipating and b.) satisfy them @ the same time?
I went & bought the last album, even tho I DL’d it 1st but just so I supported them & kept up my collection.
The other reason was to get the usual interesting read…the sleeve notes from ?uestlove are always interesting!!!

Gotty – with ?’s juice couldn’t they’ve created it in a sanitized environment, ie. taking hard drives home, limited access, no unmastered band listens? You probably know how many joints been left in cars and found way to the net.

I’m interested in seeing if these “covert cd” actions will yield big results. I don’t think the numbers will be that much better because if there is one thing the Roots have it is a fanbase, and that “same” fanbase will buy the “same” number of CD’s. If the Roots wanna do big numbers they need to let Polow do a beat for em and let ?estlove come up with a dance!
