A lot of my pieces center around people in the industry whom are relatively high profile, but whom I feel just don’t quite get their proper due. I’ve covered the criminally slept on talents of Black Thought, lamented Cee-Lo’s lack of acceptance as a first rate singer and lyricist, and essentially crowned Mos Def as the most talented artist of his generation, blaming his disenchantment with Hip-Hop on the ills of the business.

Being part of the TSS Crew definitely has its perks.

Apparently though, so does living back in Metro Detroit.

A few weeks ago, as I wrapped up a phone interview with the D’s boisterous bad guy, Trick Trick, I was cordially invited to his studio for a super-sneak preview of his sophomore spring release, The Villain.
