Lots of good music to pass along from my favorite city in the world.
Detroit.
First, the lead single from The Bad Guy himself, Trick Trick. It’s called, “Let’s Work” and it’s off his summer release, The Villain. If you’re like me, it’s been in steady whip rotation for the past month or two, so it’s nice to finally get a visual for this street anthem.
For all the cats who like it gritty, we got “Get Riches,” the first video from Guilty Simpson’s newest album, Ode To The Ghetto, which drops on March 25. I’ve been banging it all day and lemme say it’s defintely gonna make some noise. Hold off on the dro this week and grip some Reggies, so ya’ll can cop on Tuesday, ya feel me?
Next, I got a link for Chief’s new mixtape, Flippin’ Wordz Vol. 1. This dude hasn’t quite blown yet. But the air traffic controllers got him on the radar here in The D, so keep an eye out. Serious spits, full of soul…the only way it should be.
Last, we got the mixtape from local DJ, Young Mase. The tape is called, Block Music, and features new music from Motown heavyweights like K-Deezy, Tone Tone and Stretch Money.
