Jabbawockeez Finale

B-boys and B-girls competing to be crowned the best on the block? Sounds like a Step Up 2 reality show.

While MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew” just crept out of nowhere the competition’s winners, the Jabbawockeez, did not. This crew of six guys in white masks brought hip hop swagger with a Charlie Chaplin-esque mime delivery. With skill, presentation & abilities head & shoulders above the rest, the competition could really be called the “Jabbawockeez Show.”

Last night they were crowned the best dance crew, but if you caught just some of their journey you’d know it was already a wrap for runners up, Status Quo. Their final challenge was a dance performance through time, covering the dance styles of War to Salt-N-Pepa to Lil’ Jon. Funk, Pop, and Soul combined with head spins and funk air guitars hyped the crowd— and viewers— in a way we don’t usually see on MTV. The Jabbawockeez locked it down.

Season 2, bring your A-game.

Heading into the final few weeks of competition and the winner obvious, the only real question that was really left to be answered was…who really thought a dance show produced by Randy Jackson could actually be any good?
