B-boys and B-girls competing to be crowned the best on the block? Sounds like a Step Up 2 reality show.
While MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew” just crept out of nowhere the competition’s winners, the Jabbawockeez, did not. This crew of six guys in white masks brought hip hop swagger with a Charlie Chaplin-esque mime delivery. With skill, presentation & abilities head & shoulders above the rest, the competition could really be called the “Jabbawockeez Show.”
Last night they were crowned the best dance crew, but if you caught just some of their journey you’d know it was already a wrap for runners up, Status Quo. Their final challenge was a dance performance through time, covering the dance styles of War to Salt-N-Pepa to Lil’ Jon. Funk, Pop, and Soul combined with head spins and funk air guitars hyped the crowd— and viewers— in a way we don’t usually see on MTV. The Jabbawockeez locked it down.
Season 2, bring your A-game.
Heading into the final few weeks of competition and the winner obvious, the only real question that was really left to be answered was…who really thought a dance show produced by Randy Jackson could actually be any good?

Jada just became cool to me for doing a jabbawockeez post.
i thought you had no redemption after DK….
I won’t mess with this just because of the Star Wars reference.
hahaha Contra was scarred by that DK review huh? i honestly doubt anyone here is a hardcore DK fan, no worries!
“the only real question that was really left to be answered was…who really thought a dance show produced by Randy Jackson could actually be any good?”
Right!!?
am i the only one who dislikes this show?
yes
“What you doin in L.A., with Filipino and ese’s
Latinos and Cheve’s, down by Pico with Frederico?”
Only watched the last 10 minutes of this show ALL season… (just not that interested in watching people gig)
BUT
Were the Jabbawockeez really that dope or…?
Because I have a lot of Filipino & Pacific Islander friends/associates/etc., and they all seemed to be pushing HARD for them.
So I really began to wonder if it was because they were simply that dope…
Or because of the whole Asian support thing?
dude that was some insane shit!
it always gets me how the first few posters in any post are either completely oblivious to the topic & just wanted to be first. OR they extremely hate something & want it to be known lol.
I actually saw a few eps of this show maybe 2 Saturdays ago & it wasn’t bad @ all. I’m no dancing machine but i get a kick out of watchin fools do all those pops, locks & flips lol. Knowing damn well I can’t make it’s pretty easy to watch w/o getting technical or thinking too hard. Entertainment.
Gottyâ„¢ that is the norm around here. With the advent of these “1st” posters, few post prior to reading the topic.
Now me myself I haven’t watched a reality TV show since Real World Hawaii. Yes I know that way back but
1. I am over 30
2. I work overnight/early morning and I have stuff to do during the day
3. I am sure that TV today is de-educating some folks
4.and frankly I just can’t care about anyone else’s life more than my own
