Before the hate starts swirling and the claim disputed, listen to him spit on “Smoke Somethin.” It’s the first leaked track off his upcoming album, Killer, due out July 1. It’s not the best song I’ve ever heard, nor even the best I’ve heard this month. But with a faucet-like flow and more originality than 95% of hip-hop, it is proof the man’s truly blessed on the mic.

Tech is bananas, but he’s got some issues:
His ICP allegiance being one. ICP’s fanbase many of who hold up Fred Durst as an emcee, give Tech too much of an mascot-for-outsiders label.
9′s locale hurts him–Kansas City is a small media market that doesn’t have a distinct enough sound to market nationwide–think ATL, St. Louis, Oakland, Houston, etc.
Also, it’s ard to market brothas who spit as fast as Tech–even Twist, Hov and Em had to slow flow to go pop.
Rumors of Tech being a devil worshipper hurt him, too. .Some things don’t go over well with hip hop/urban culutre folks, no matter how dope you are. Devil-worshipping black men will never go platinum. (I see you, Esham.)
it’s too bad, too… Cuz Tech will smoke 90% of the cats in terms of giving you a live show, tho. he’s a road dog and loves crowds.
