“…the offices shut down, an all the network executives commit Japanese ritualistic suicide.” – Huey Freeman

In my pursuit of penworthy fodder these past two months, my frustration has hit new heights.

I’ve actually developed a list of rappers I would like to throw up on.

After emptying out my stomach on them, I would have liked to setup a mini-gun on a heavy duty tripod at close range, fill it with .50 cal shells and empty that out as well.

I’ve just about had it with all this nonsensical childish, borderline prepubescent behavior being exhibited by certain MC’s lately and all the coverage it’s getting. It’s revolting.

I did not, do not, and will not care to give a fat baby’s ass what’s going on in Wayne’s world, which G-Unit member got pranked on thisis50.com.

And fuck you if you even give a smeared shit about all this Fat Joe/Papoose/50/Cassidy/Kay Slay garbage. Seriously, fuck you with a ribbed dildo. I could care less.

What I do care about, however, is releases and for all the “news” out there, not a lot is happening in the studios. Do not even dare mention the bird droppings Wayne’s been feeding us lately lest I put you in my gun’s sights as well. I struggle to find music of substance in substantial quantities.

Calling the flow of music slow is entirely too euphemistic for my liking. Hip Hop is trudging through a droughty desert. This angers me.

These recording artists are in an enabled position to make music, money, and maybe even a difference in the process, but opt not to. They instead get sidetracked with petty personally bullshit beefs and high-school-like popularity contests.

There is a general lack of focus in rappers.

This is even truer for the audience.

The audience that bothers to debate whether Pap could knock Joe out, or whether Cass was in the hotel (til six in the morning) or anything pertaining to that drama. Unless you’re on a payroll, with stubs and checks to prove it, go to hell on foot and hang yourself there with a little string.

We don’t care.

Which one of them has released a groundbreaking album this decade? Huh?

“Don’t worry, I’ll wait.” – Katt Williams.

I could go on to bash these deaf listeners, blind readers and mute musicians until the fat lady loses weight and sings. It would make no ultimate difference. For the most part the whole game has gone numb from all the bashing and the praises, the lashings and the laurels to the point where musicians don’t care about what they put out anymore. Listeners have no standards that are stringently upheld and the majority of you will read write-ups like this and all you’ll do is comment back with:

Nice post, Contra™.”

Thank you, now what the fuck else is new?
