“…the offices shut down, an all the network executives commit Japanese ritualistic suicide.” – Huey Freeman
In my pursuit of penworthy fodder these past two months, my frustration has hit new heights.
I’ve actually developed a list of rappers I would like to throw up on.
After emptying out my stomach on them, I would have liked to setup a mini-gun on a heavy duty tripod at close range, fill it with .50 cal shells and empty that out as well.
I’ve just about had it with all this nonsensical childish, borderline prepubescent behavior being exhibited by certain MC’s lately and all the coverage it’s getting. It’s revolting.
I did not, do not, and will not care to give a fat baby’s ass what’s going on in Wayne’s world, which G-Unit member got pranked on thisis50.com.
And fuck you if you even give a smeared shit about all this Fat Joe/Papoose/50/Cassidy/Kay Slay garbage. Seriously, fuck you with a ribbed dildo. I could care less.
What I do care about, however, is releases and for all the “news” out there, not a lot is happening in the studios. Do not even dare mention the bird droppings Wayne’s been feeding us lately lest I put you in my gun’s sights as well. I struggle to find music of substance in substantial quantities.
Calling the flow of music slow is entirely too euphemistic for my liking. Hip Hop is trudging through a droughty desert. This angers me.
These recording artists are in an enabled position to make music, money, and maybe even a difference in the process, but opt not to. They instead get sidetracked with petty personally bullshit beefs and high-school-like popularity contests.
There is a general lack of focus in rappers.
This is even truer for the audience.
The audience that bothers to debate whether Pap could knock Joe out, or whether Cass was in the hotel (til six in the morning) or anything pertaining to that drama. Unless you’re on a payroll, with stubs and checks to prove it, go to hell on foot and hang yourself there with a little string.
We don’t care.
Which one of them has released a groundbreaking album this decade? Huh?
“Don’t worry, I’ll wait.” – Katt Williams.
I could go on to bash these deaf listeners, blind readers and mute musicians until the fat lady loses weight and sings. It would make no ultimate difference. For the most part the whole game has gone numb from all the bashing and the praises, the lashings and the laurels to the point where musicians don’t care about what they put out anymore. Listeners have no standards that are stringently upheld and the majority of you will read write-ups like this and all you’ll do is comment back with:
“Nice post, Contra™.”
Thank you, now what the fuck else is new?

Well, Stephen Curry just dropped 40 pts. in Davidson’s win over Gonzaga…. (for those who care).
I like the fact that I’m not the only person who could give a flying fuck about any of this nonsense. You would think that Papoose would be the least concerned in the group you mentioned, just because of the fact that he has yet to release an album. Oh well.
Oh yeah…
“Nice Post Contra”. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
wooooooooooooooooooooow….
west kentucky with the win!
^ My thoughts exactly.
I knew that ish was goin in
What happened w/ Fat Joe, Papoose, 50, Cassidy, and Kay Slay?

Dude needs to pay the royalties and get over it!
venting your frustrations = great way to get rid of them
no need to focus on all the melodrama going on in hip-hop these days…..all we need to do….just sit back, relax, bump that new “Royal Flush” from Sir Luscious Left Foot, 3 Stacks and The Chef and watch the NCAA’s…..
Western Kentucky = wild finish = probably doomed against UConn

@ boogie…i forgot to give you, amp, and gotty feedback on the kicks shopping. i ended up getting two pair of some fresh dunks from training camp on 45th. they had a nice little sale (or whatever the fuck they wanna call it).
i hate to admit this, but these were the first pair of dunks that i’ve EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. i think it was very appropriate that i bought them in the hip hop mecca of the world, yadig. i’m a lifelong 1-head, but i’ll be damned…WHY THE FUCK didn’t no one tell me dunks are so fucking comfortable? i feel like a guy who’s just now getting put onto to the victoria secret catalog for t&a when all the mug has to do is sign up on bgol! hahaha
^ oh yeah…feel free to give me a hard time about my late pass on dunks. i deserve that shit.
random I can e-mail you “Gunz-n-Roses” and “Big White Spaceship”
post up pics of the new dunks
n e 1 got da N.E.R.D. – Fly Or Die ??
^ Posted a link for Fly or Die in the comments section for that post.
Damn! I actually agree. The rap game (if one may call it that) has turned into the WWE! It has been a slow yet evident descent. But now it is full on fuckery. I was going to say that Fat Joe dropped an album of epic proportion, but that was Big Pun, Joe was just in the back ad-libbing.
Going back to the main topic. I personally blame the deaf listeners (yeah the ones whom you damned to hell after you threatened to include them in your body count). Well not just them, those who listen too. But then again consumerism rules these parts, so even though I may not have purchased any these dudes album (and trust me I haven’t) millions of others have. So, that allows them to get away with their foolishness. Like that pic of Joe on the beach, who the fuck cares about that shit? I don’t but I am sure that some jackass downloaded that tape just to hear what fiddy and friends had to say about Joe. Let me guess they make fun of him being fat (as if his name did not hint to that already). Now how is that for music of substance in substantial quantities?
Oh yeah, nice post Contra!
I say Amen…make some good music and shit ya ass down…already
thanks doug
maybe someone should release an album titled “Hip-Hop is Numb” maybe that’ll get some attention.
The day we support good music economically, FOR REAL, is the day good music will flourish.
And I guess this is what the 1st quarter will do to ya.
This might be the best blog i’ve actually read in a long time!! lol
shit…..I feel salty…..
UConn lost…..
