– Shyne is real close to being a free man within calendar year.
According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the Brooklyn rapper (born Jamal Barrow), who has been incarcerated since 2001, will exit the jail confines a year earlier than his expected 2009 release date.
Right or wrong, Shyne’s paid his proverbial debt to society. As a fan, I’ll be glad when I can say “FREE SHYNE PO!” for the last time.

I’m considering starting a petition to keep P OUT of jail because his value to society has definitely risen for the comedic value of these “blog” entries.

The more I read or see video interviews with Dwayne…the more my head hurts as I try to comprehend what the hell was said. I can’t imagine being the interviewer, having to listen, soak it in & move from question to question not knowing which navigational direction Weezy’s previous answer came from.

Big up to Shine, I’m glad to hear he’ll be out soon. I hope he sends some goons to shoot Puff in the ass for being a fucking sellout; Shine kept it G and did his time. Sad news in the small world of the urban music: Sean Garrett, 32 years, known also under the pseudonym Static Major of the ‘Playa’ group, is deceased Monday, at his place in Louisville in Kentucky. The causes and circumstances of its death are not known, one speaks, rupture of anevrism. This autor/producer/interprète collaborated with many artists of the rap/r&b world, in particular with Aaliyah (on its last album), Ginuwine, Timbaland, Brandy, David Banner, Destiny’s Child and Jay-Z. Its last appearances are summarized with “Lollipop”, individual future of LiL Wayne, and production of “Paradise” TQ feat Krayzie Bone.

Few answers after the sudden death of a Louisville musician and producer. The coroner tells WHAS11 Stephen Garrett, known in the music industry as “Static”, died of complications from a medical procedure.
He died Monday at a local hospital.
His family is also calling for an independent autopsy.
The 33-year-old first made it on the national music scene with the R&B group “Playa”.
He went on to produce and write music for Destiny’s Child, Jay-Z, P. Diddy and Christina Aguilera.
Garrett was 33-years-old and was raising four children.
