In spite of publicly speaking out about rap music on numerous occasions, Allhiphop.com has reported that comedic pioneer Bill Cosby will be releasing his very own disc of spits. The hip-hop equivalent to a glass of milk, State of Emergency, will be filled to the brim with positive messages. Remarkably, this will be the 35th release by the man known to many simply as “Cliff.”
I appreciate what “America’s Dad” is trying to do, but will anyone else? Without an actual single, and CD sales already so low, I expect this one to be lacing the bottom of the barrel at your local Dollar Tree as soon as it drops.
Still, with units moved as an obvious afterthought and stacks to the ceiling already, I have a feeling good ol’ Bill could care less.
