i’m wondering if this is the real deal. it’s only 2:53 and the track on the album is 3:57. such an abrupt ending.
The video is a hodgepodge of sex appeal, brashness, grace and humorous storytelling. Basically, the short revolves around a lady taking out her frustrations on a bound-and-gagged West in the harshest way.
Let’s just say that in the part where Kanye raps about his girl saying, “Where are you, Yeezy?,” he apparently didn’t have a good enough answer.

I thought that shit was pretty cool – Kanye lifting concepts isn’t all that immoral, I think that he’s the kind of guy who studies music like people do literature and visual art. So when he see a particularly stirring video, he takes the idea as a nod to them. He’s never been shy about the fact that he went and found Justice’s director after they got him in the VMAs, and I’m sure if questioned, he’d say the same for whatever British video concept he lifted.
This video is dope, the chick is mad hot, the rhythm is cool, and it doesn’t rely on shot-cuts to keep in step with the song. That’s something drastically different, the average length of any shot in a music video is what, like 2 seconds? That shit sucks. Kanye is the truth, fuck the haters, lol.

He gives credit where credit is due, and they say that the greatest form of flattery in imitation. But to call what Kanye does mere imitation is blasphemous.
I’ll take this over quick cuts of throwing money and fat muhfuckas like Rick Ross jumping off bridges and shit (knowing good and cotdamn well he would never clear that ledge), any day. I think this video is outside the norm, well shot, and completely relevant to the song. A lot of people keep commenting on how short it is, when it may have been ruined if it were stretched just to fit the time. It’s very dramatic, and the ending is jarring and abrupt to say the least. It’s that shock he’s trying to convey, and as he’s telling the story the video ends when he does. People shouldn’t dismiss something just because they’re not used to it. To those of you that are too busy saying wtf and ONLY see a fat ass, watch it again…and think.

Right on, Ty. This vid makes sense if you listen to the lyrics and think about why she’d be killing him. I didn’t think it was especially amazing, but at least it wasn’t the same old shit we always see.
