Kanye West

Yesterday, the lineup for the seventh annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival was announced. One of the highlights is the ever increasing appearance of even more “urban” acts again this year.

“…The bill is a veritable who’s who of indie, hip-hop and, well, jam, a list of more than 80 acts that includes Kanye West, Death Cab for Cutie, M.I.A., Bonnaroo mainstays My Morning Jacket, the Raconteurs, Rilo Kiley, Sigur Rós and Lupe Fiasco.”

Lupe, Kanye, Talib & M.I.A. are all huge draws. Throw in Jack Johnson & Sharon Jones to satisfy my inner hipster.

And even though it’s an hour away, I still probably won’t go.

– Too muddy. While good music is good music, frollicking in the mud while good music is being played is not a good look. I <3 my sneakers.

-- Coffee County, where the event is held, isn't the best place to be a.) Black b.) with anything illegal and c.) to be Black & with anything illegal. Manchester is simply not a melanin friendly place.

-- Enduring the hordes of traffic & other nameless acts who employ guitars might cause me to self-destruct.

Don't worry, PM will be there on our behalf.

In an interesting Kanye-related aside, no longer is blogging about Connect 4 games enough. Kanye has now partnered to bring us a search engine, www.searchwithkanyewest.com.

The site is powered by Google and Ask, meaning users will continue to receive the same results they presently receive from other top search engines. Every search on Kanye’s engine, however, comes with digital dollars called Swag Bucks which can be redeemed for Kanye prizes, including: autographed CDs, MP3 downloads, clothing, exclusive Kanye West merchandise and consumer electronics.

Swag Bucks“?

Basura! Bring me the heads of these numbnuts who thought of this!

However, congrats to Kanye for cashing yet another check for doing nada but being himself.
