After years of anticipation from all parties immersed in his work, Crooked I finally has a release date.

Of sorts.

According to recent ink he got in Jon Healey’s Los Angleses Times technology blog, Bit Player, the the LBC veteran is supposed to drop his first full-length sometime in March. Still, my hopes won’t be elevated in the least until I finally see a cover, a tracklist and the label pick up a chisel to mark a definitive date in stone. With so many final release dates for my man behind us already, it’s like Dominic says, “I’ve suffered too long.”

Since we haven’t heard much out of him in regards to structured material for the past thirty-eight weeks though, it’s nice to know he’s still concerned with penning solo songs with hooks. In case ya’ll forgot, or never even knew in the first place, the G from the 213 is much more than a heap of residual punchlines on a weekly basis. Like Howie Mandell, this Death Row escapee is the real deal and just as Lieutenant James Doaks did last Sunday, Crooked will inevitably blow.

Keeps your fingers crossed, preferably while throwing up the W and pray the March date’s as sticky as that Swisher you put in the air this morning.
