u guys forget where hip hop started, bambata sampling european electronica pioneers kraftwerk. hip hop used to be great BECAUSE it mish mashed other styles, then the rappers egos got too big and the music took a backseat. only timbaland is brave enough to try something new now.

grew up listening to everything from brotha lynch hung to Almighty RSO (i know right). then in my early twenties i moved to europe. orginally thought dance, trance, house and techno was shit. but when it becomes part of your culture, you give it a chance, its damn good. you can add pills if you want. i never really got into that but every now and then ill knock a few back and hit up a tiesto concert. shit is crazy.

smokingsection should post more grime/dubstep. some of the artists from london (burial, skream, high rankin, wiley, skepta) are doing a lot. the new burial album (untrue) is incredible.

The post is a means of facilitating the comments. If i put a completely personal perspective on the song, it wouldn’t do it justice.

Fo those that don’t like it, that’s cool. To each his(her) own.

As far as me not vibing to “dance” music, it’s just not my forte. I get bored with it.

However, that doesn’t mean i can’t appreciate it for what it is, and understand why others like it, which is something that can’t be said for everyone….

really? i mean… really? ill be the first to say, that im a huge fan of trance/house/dnb/acid house/all that shit.

but this right here is terrible.

there is absolutely nothing good about it. its the same uninspired, formulaic shit that i see being put out in every genre.

and personally … i give a fuck about what theyre jammin in the UK. anything labeled “uk” and “dance” is going to be deemed bad before i even listen.

its funny how nowadays…. the comments contain a lot more substance than the OG post.
