Irv’s making his presence felt again in the media, primarily with the VH1 TV show. In this recent interview with Complex, he makes interesting points about 50, J-Lo’s album flop, Ashanti, schmoozing with Gayle King, the failed Murder Inc. supercollabo and other things. I know I’m in the minority but I’ve always found Irv to be pretty smart dude (he has been a strong force in three great successes – Rocafella, Ruff Ryders & Murder Inc.)
One of the “Irv Gotti Quotables,” offset to the right, was about the Internet’s effect on the music industry:

oh and with regard to record sales, im really interested in seeing how many artists follow radiohead with the download thing, its an interesting idea, but i kind of doubt that would catch on with a lot of hip-hop’s fans (when I buy a cd, i want something tangible, but maybe thats just me)
