Yeah I read that review and at first I was like ok maybe its not a good album, then I was like maybe he was uncomfortable because he said the place was hot, then I was like nah his boss made him check this shit out when he really wanted to go to the Jay-Z show. Dude sounded like he was hating just a tad.
Also sounded like Lupe was acting like his weird ass self, which probably would make it harder to digest fairly.
A lot of info to rap (pun intended) my head around without coffee, but I will say that’s a good look for Cosmo and oh word, a bad look Amy, and Kels is a nasty, shameless fucker who needs more “no” people in his life like Mrs. Daniels.
yeah that guy was definitely hatin on the new lupe album. it seems like you can’t really tell shit from one of those breakdowns from a listening party though. they’re almost totally irrelevant. as for amy winehouse, she needs to just say no or something. she losing out on ridiculous amounts of money by cancelling all those tour dates.
Oh yeah, you kids need to fuck with Jeff Beck. He’s cut from that Clapton/Page Yardbirds mold, but with a lot more flash. I personally recommend the first two Jeff Beck Group albums, featuring Ron Wood, Nicky Hopkins, and a young, pre-Faces Rod Stewart, back when Stewart was cool, and before he got all androgynous, and later, CDL (corny, doughy, and leathery).
