Yeah you can use itunes without having an ipod, its just a music player that will organize your library, etc. Personally I hate itunes but there are many alternatives that can play the itunes file format (m4), such as songbird or winamp.

@Gift…my bad dog about the m4′s. I ripped it using Itunes…but the rest of the fam helped you figure out how to play the files.
