The long-awaiting feature with Lil Wayne & it actually came out much better than I expected…because I really expected to hear a slizzered Weezy whining about Trina over the track, especially considering the title.
Plus, deep down inside, I had that little voice in the back of my head that question the collabo with The Other Mr. Carter. First, it seems strange as hell, except knowing that they’ve both made mention of their mutual admiration in the past. I just hoped that Pooh & Tay would hold their own while going bar for bar with F. Baby.
They did.
I’m pleased.
Creatively, let me just say that Tay did it again by rapping part of his verse from a mother’s viewpoint.

Somehow I have to work that into my defense the next time my lady screams on me for smelling like an unfamiliar female scent.

People might hate on me for saying this…But I don’t like this LB song.
With these annoying claps, and the bells during the verses, the beat is annoying to me. I can’t even pay attention to the verses because my rings are being infultrated with what seems to be noise.
However on third listen, all three verses are tight.
Still not my type of beat though…

I’m w/Douglas. The beat is kinda “noisy” @ first but that’s part of the draw on the next few listens for me. It’s more akin to what I’d like to hear from these dudes. Both Tay & Pooh as well as 9th said there was a change needed & this beat is a good thing if it’s a sign of things to come.
Plus I’m sure the final version will be mixed down & the levels better.

As for the song, I was hoping to get the Weezy that spit on “Hollywood Divorce,” his verse was a bit disappointing. Good song, nothing grounding breaking.
