“…Aggin in here you already know
Got trapper of the year four times in a row (what they give you?)
A lifetime supply of baking soda clientele
A Rollie watch, two pots and three scales…”
From there, I was open. His word choices & the way he laid them together let me know he knew enough about the streets for me.
“…The Federales on my tail, call ‘em bird watchers
Minus the bullshit life’s great
Just got a camera in the peach in my license plate…”
Say he wasn’t lyrical & I point to humor of callin the Feds by their Mexican name & the attention to detail of describing the Georgia plate down to its intricacies.
Done.

finally! thanks a lot
i used to hate jeezy til about 2 years ago…bumpin beats, mad swag and good rhymes. i downloaded the inspiration before it came out and I had chills down my spine….case in point, “you know what it is”.
Wow, he is rhyming about cocaine. He is so innovative and versatile.
^ *yyyeeeeaaahhh!*
Jeezy is an easy target for hatred. “He aint lyrical coz his bars be like 3 words long!”
word. maybe. but 3 very strong words at times. with so much swagger, you’ll be repeating those 3 words and the “haha” adlib that follows them for the next week or 2.
His subject matter is repetitive, but he does word his lyrics nice. It took a little while to stomach dude, but he’s worthy.
I really ain’t trippin off Jeezy. I just needed some content to post that wouldn’t be too much of a distraction…and so we could get in AG.
lolol… Damn Gotty! *haha*(c) Jeezy
“Got Them Condoms, No Wrapper!” lol
That “Ig’nant Shit” is bananas!! Well worth the wait for the retail rip, even though I’m copping the CD as soon as it drops…
Didn’t know if Jeezy could do it again & I was proved wrong with “The Inspiration”, even though it’s not the classic that “Thug Motivation” was. I initially thought dude was the new version of Master P, with the trademark adlibs, but He’s way more lyrical than P. I just wonder if He can get any better lyrically. Like DMX, X changed the game when He 1st dropped, but overtime, I grew tired of the same schtick. Jeezy has gotta continue to grow lyrically or risk becoming irrelevant
AG will be at Mom & Pops retail locations this week towards the weekend even the latin spots too…
Cop that
Also when the soundtrack for AG get ripped?
Anyone have DP 3?
I still haven’t heard that entire joint.
In my humble opinion I think this joint would have been a 4.5 out of 5 had they left out “Hello Brooklyn” and “Blue Magic”….on the fence with “Pray*”
what more can be said about jeezy other than… he is what we thought he was (c) dennis green.
his lyrics and subject matter are repetitive. but his swag and them beats…you can’t really hate on them.
Damn Dame, u called him Camel Jigga and u leaked his album?
In my humble opinion I think this joint would have been a 4.5 out of 5 had they left out “Hello Brooklyn” and “Blue Magic”….on the fence with “Pray*”

Co-sign. I still haven’t heard a couple of songs yet, but “Say Hello” and “Success” are ridiculous. How about that’s all I listened to last night when I should have been studying? Even with Lil’ Wayne’s overrated ass all over the track, AG is already light years ahead of KC.
Hello Brooklyn is ok, but I can see where it ties to the movie. It’s a stretch, though.
As for Jeezy, he ain’t going nowhere, his rhymes are getting better & he has mic presence that other people dream about.
“Say Hello” and “Success” are ridiculous.
========
yes.
AG is already light years ahead of KC.

I’m having a hard time believing in the beats on this joint personally.
Why does everyone hate on Weezy? I think “Hello Brooklyn” is fire, both Jay & Wayne kill it. Wayne manages to put out more material than any other rapper & still be somewhat consistent (Minus the “T-Pain” sounding joints). He’s been making hits since 96, most rappers get a two album run & it’s over. What am I missing?
CAN’T BAN THE SNOWMAN!!! YEEEAAAHHH!!!
I used to to hate Jeezy myself, but then I heard “Trap or Die” with Bun B. He may not be super-lyrical but who cares? He keeps it greezy, grimey, and supa-hood so I respect his music. Fans need to get off all this “one-dimesional” talk, not everybody has the lyrical complexity of MF Doom or Immortal Technique, that’s why there are different artists to fill different listening tastes.
The beat to “Hello Brooklyn” is serious.
But I’m not into either of the verses. They seem pretty pointless to me.
I guess I’m sneaking in my track by track opinion of the album today lol.
Haterssssss – Kanye
I’m the first to tell U Lil’ Wayne dines on male sexual reproduction organs, but “Hello Brooklyn” is a banger and he got a catchy melody going along as some witty metaphors and the shit Jay saying on the 3rd verse is like the icing on the cake. I mean damn, let that bitch breate before U go out saying it needs CPR. To many times do cats eat their words when trying to make bold statements about music….
^Jay-Z already got more people saying let that bitch breathe. Hello Brooklyn is ok but it just dont sound right to me next to all the strings, key’s and soul samples that make up the album musically.
As the Hon. Bro. Lonnie Lynn said…
“If I don’t like it, I don’t like it. That don’t mean…”…well, you know.
I’m born & raised in New York & I just like dudes who are saying something. Don’t get me wrong, I dig some of the ignorant ish that comes outta the south, but c’mon, how long can He rap about the same things? There has to be some growth. I admit, He can spit, & He’s gotten better from “Come Shop With Me” to “The Inspiration” but He couldn’t fuck with a T.I. or Lil Wayne, or even Bun-B for that matter (Who, quietly, is one of the most underrated southern lyricists).

I posted it before I saw your comments but yeah, to each…
Speaking of Bro. Lynn, did anyone see that clip with the drunk fan come into his dressing room?
test
“Say Hello” and “Success” = Heavy rotation in my deck.
jay went in HARD on success…best track on AG
@TC Yeah I saw that clip! She just waltzed up in the joint!! Yo i tried to count how man times she shook he damn hand, man! Too funny!
Gotty, totally off the subject, but did anyone send you the bonus tracks from the Little Brother album- (Itunes & Hip Hop Site)? I know other peole have ased as well..I can’t find them anywhere.
Noncipher.
seriously? cats are feeling that hello brooklyn joint? doesn’t make much sense to me. probably two of the best rappers in the past 10 finally together on a track and they rip off a beastie boys beat from licensce to ill. shit may bang your speakers but fuck, whats the point. might as well flip rappers delight. jigga man is off, and wayne hasn’t been doing it like he should lately. starting to get repetative, and i think he’s the best rapper out right now. (gossip and MPW are hot though…) jigga should have put 1/2 KC and 1/2 AG together for one decent album.
Say Hello is straight FYYYYYYAAAAAAAAHHHHH though….
As the Hon. Bro. Lonnie Lynn said…
“If I don’t like it, I don’t like it. That don’t mean…”…well, you know.

People need more common sense.
pun intended.
Gotty, I know you have a good realtionship with LB, I wasn’t trying to take food out of their mouths. I bought the physical CD, but I didn’t find out about the digital tracks until afterwards. I was just checking..
Nah I wasn’t trippin lol. I meant I didn’t have them, just trying to answer the question.
shit, if somebody gets’em, pass’em this way or up those joints for mass consumption
jeezy is aight, he’s a rapper, not a lyricist. But he almost had a multi with that “lifes great, license plate” . maybe he’ll catch on eventually. Someone needs to get him “capital punishment” cd.
thats ALbum is tight for sure! I love it..

=======================================
Jay-z album is th sheeeeeaaaaattt!…….Nuff Said….
I was glad that he addresed the De’Haven situation, I was waitin on that…He touched it and then left it at that…Not trying to inflate tha beef, but Haven was really trying to air dude out….Hatin’ass ‘zaggin..
