An interesting thing happened last week…

There were those of you who, along with us, enjoyed T.I. Vs…Week. If you weren’t in that contigent, you were able to recognize that it took quite a bit of planning to execute so you respected it & our fresh.

But then there were those who said “stop focusing on mainstream artists” and to give more shine to others.

Au contraire?

Last week, every post wasn’t about T.I. But it rightly could’ve been because 1.) his album leaked and the actual retail release is comin this week. Of hip-hop’s big guns, he’s the first to drop this summer 2.) He did create quite a stir with all of his (and TIP’s) actions. 3.) We’re fans, of which myself & P are diehards.

Still though, there were plenty of other quality posts and material dropped in between – the Sha Money XL & Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival to name two. It’s just that when we do quality pieces centered around figures who are not commonly thrown around by the media, they often fly under the radar & go unnoticed (ie no comments). In recent weeks, we’ve shined on Emily King, Super Chron Flight Brothers, Ethan Brown, debuted tracks by Fam-Lay & Little Brother track (Get Back in ’07), Crooked I, DJ 2Tall’s latest…you get the point.

Prime example is someone mentioned The Strange Fruit Project & Tanya Morgan, speaking on how dope both were & that they should get some attention.

O rly?

Because we spoke on both long ago, specifically one of our earlier Sessions being with The Strange Fruit Project.

Our thing is sort of two-fold – We take what we feel & speak on it…we have fun with it. And we look ahead or look back, looking @ now only periodically.
