Foxy Brown got off light yet again this week in court. And what did she do? She preened for the camera and proclaimed that she wasn’t afraid of jail. “I’m tough, I’m from Brooklyn.” she asserted. I find it sad that she has pretty much sunk to the level of a hood status Naomi Campbell…relevant for her criminal mischief than her talent which has become pretty non-existent. But Naomi at least had better publicists, and was able to manipulate her public persona in these legal situations to a better extent. After the incident in Florida, Foxy decides to give a press conference (haven’t those become such high points of comedy these days when rappers give them?) claiming that her rights were violated when she wasn’t allowed to pull her pants up after being told to leave the store’s restroom. Keep in mind that she also has a charge against her in North Carolina for an assault against two hotel workers. I’m not saying that that couldn’t have happened. But what credibility does she have anymore?
It wasn’t that long ago that we were feeling sorry for her, hindered by a hearing affliction that made her mostly deaf. But all of that now falls under that category of dubious behavior we call “suspect”. Exactly how do you get away with verbally abusing your court-appointed anger management counselor? What is positive about allegations that you faked your hearing disability? When you get dropped by a label that your friend runs without putting out new material, things are pretty low. But Foxy Brown must think that all of this doesn’t matter. Even the possibility of jail. Personally, I think she needs to go. Foxy Brown is at a point in her career and her life where the hip-hop hype matters more than reality. She either chooses not to care or is really that much of a ignorant individual about things.
Either way, she loses. And hip-hop will count her as yet another female rapper who wasn’t built for longevity.

And yeah! I read your article too Chris! Fuck her…
“I find it sad that she has pretty much sunk to the level of a hood status Naomi Campbell…”
Sadly, I honestly think that is exactly what she wants.
*SMH*
Also… we just don’t seem to learn as humans. I mean the woman (allegedly) could have never heard another sound in her life again… and yet…
This is how she behaves once it’s restored?
Foxy Brown had talent? Really?!?!
Yeah Foxy definitely got off… good for her… I would have paid to see her down to her draws getting kicked out (allegedly) from another nail salon… where the f%@$ were the paparazzi for that!?.. (following Bald Head Slick britney?) Really wasn’t feeling her even when she was in the Ain’t No Ni**a video with Jay-Z but I saw her one time in Juniors in Brooklyn… man she was tiiiiight… if it wasn’t for my girl (and the extra large body guard) I would have asked her if I can tap that nice a$$ she was packin’… (liquor talkin’) oh and from the back because her grill piece is furious!!!… peace
