The usual Saturday randomness that seemed worthy of sharing, mentioning and waxing poetic over and about….

“…Before I had status and before I had a pager/You could find the Abstract listening to hip hop/My pops us to say, it reminded him of be-bop/I said, well daddy don’t you know that things go in cycles/The way that Bobby Brown is just ampin like Michael…”
We’re talking about jazz & hip-hop but really Tip said it best in that track.
And speaking of Tribe…
Damn shame this track didn’t make an album @ the time (Didn’t it appear on a soundtrack of an Eddie Murphy movie instead?). I forgot how sizzlin it was…summer’s in the air.
Originoo Gun Clappaz – Hurricane Starang
All praises due to the almight Boney Starks for playing this shit on the last Podcast. I’ve been “B.C.C. even when I’m by myself…” all week because of that shit….
Plies’ version of “I Wanna…” with Akon 10x > the version with Snoop. Father you see king industry politics.

I can’t really say if it’s the bounce to the beat. Or if it’s that old cool as version of Mase, the personality caught in the crux after Murder but before he ran to Atlanta, word to Jimmy & Cam.
Or perhaps it’s that everlasting infatuation with bonin’ Mya and hearing her singin the words “fuck” that makes me like this track.
Mase Feat. Mya – All I Ever Wanted
Either way, I want to nominate this track as a summer anthem for its convertible feel appeal.

Wow…
His Top 10 is f’d ALL UP.
Banks @ 50.
Kind of upset that people don’t realize just how good of a producer that man really is…
But at least he made the list (YAY AREEEEAAAAAAAA!!!!!!)
Sup,
Dilla link is down.
Does Anyone have another link?
One
isn’t that Cheri Dennis on that Mase track?
Doesn’t really sound like Mya.
CAN WE GET S’MORE COMEDY ALBUM DROPS?????
Yeah that list is a little frazzled. (Well any list I see without Dre as #1 is pretty much VOID) Alchemist and The Bomb Squad are waaay to high. Swizz Beatz and Trackmasters waaaay too low. You can kinda get what type of music he perfers by reading it (even though basically everyone probably belongs in the 50…san a fuckin’ DJ Shadow…)
LOL@ Organized Noize @ 25 and Large P @ 5
SMH at Tony Yayo….
da lists are pretty good but no Legendary Traxster? least Organized Noize n Prince Paul on there.
nise pic, for a while tho i forgot she sang at all
Nah…. I don’t remember that song having Mya on it…

Track 28 – Mase feat. Mya – All I Ever Wanted
That song is trash and that’s Cheri Dennis Gotty…
Shush T.C., you don\’t even like hip-hop. I seen ya playlist son & that Merle Haggard & Lynard Skynard are not what\’s hot lol.
Until I\’m shown different, I\’m going to say it\’s Mya….even if you show me different, I\’m still going to visualize Mya singing it…so no matter what\’s said I\’m going to think it\’s Mya.
Plus, I couldn\’t find any actual credits to anyone BUT her for the song, therefore…

For the record: I’ve never heard of Merle Haggard
lmao
wiki is not a credible source lol
LMAO
LOL…. I know I’d rather Mya be on the track, especially if they would’ve made a video for it. :) I have the CD and it don’t see anything in the credits on who it is… and unfortunately, Wiki isn’t a credible site.
Speaking of “Double Up”… I think my fav track is “Make Me Cry”. That’s classic Mase.
random request but…
anyone have any har mar superstar?
