NY Times article about Dramagate, the RIAA and the inner-workings between labels, artists and mixtape DJ’s.
So what do you think – Will the future see mixtapes go further underground or become legitimate products?

Good looks on that POTD.
Nice NYT article, thx.
I may add in my opinion, mixtapes aren’t going anywhere. This is nothing more than the “examples” they made of lil mom & pop shops a year ago for selling mixtapes. Another example of the RIAA & music industry’s denial of how things are going. People are buying cd’s less & less. I used to cop everything the day it dropped. You know what initially led me to the internet 7yrs ago, fuckin clue tapes & just misc exclusives. I had to get them from somebody that traveled up east & I couldn’t even buy here. Then the damn price fixing scheme they had going on cd’s all thru the 90′s didn’t sit well with me either. I purchased over 3000 cds in that time period, lawsuit, oh wow, thx for the 11 bucks. Then sueing everybody right & left, yeah, thats making alotta fans too. Eh, my 2 cents. Fuck em.
