Periodically, I like to share what songs I’ve got stuck on repeat. You could always check out my Last.FM profile, but it would only give you 1/4 of what I actually listen to because most of my listening is done in the car. Here’s a few of the songs that have been on rotation this week…
Rufus Featuring Chaka Khan – “Stay”

Not only does my bird have me watchin Grey’s Anatomy, I’ve been forced to watch another show that shall remain nameless (lest I lose some of my respect for myself). On said show, there are alot of singers imitating their idols but none can touch the full and richness of Chaka’s voice on this track.

Omarion – “Icebox”

Straight up, I had to tip around and get some others’ opinions because I’m not heavy on radio cuts…”yo, is this song kinda hot or is it me?” Nah, it’s confirmed that although years from now, I might question the lyrics to the chorus, they still seem so right…

Plies – “Takeoff Part 2″

Pardon me but alot of times I prefer my music bass-heavy, hard, violent and perhaps ignorant. But not ignorant in the traditional sense becasue actually Plies has alot of street smarts. And a voice full of country twang & bop. Got’em Hatin for sure.

Rick Ross – “Career Criminal”

There will always be debate on whether Rick Ross is really this or that. Fuck that. I’ll just take the music and let him & the man in the mirror debate all that other. And this song is good music.

Fabolous Feat. Young Jeezy – “Diamonds”

These dudes need to work together more often. This track put me back in the mind of “Do The Damn Thing” where Jeezy acted a donkey.

Jin Feat. Floetry – “Music Is My Life”

Stuck on my playlist for two straight months. The flute. Floetry. Jin saying what most of us all feel about this music. Beauty.
