TSS: What’s up y’all?

Juicy J: Whassup man?

DJ Paul: What’s goin’ on?

TSS: Aint nothin’. I got a couple of questions for y’all if you’re ready.

Juicy J: Yeah man, we ready.

TSS: So, “Adventures in Hollyhood”…how did you get that done? When I first heard about it, I was floored.

Juicy J: (laughs) This man said he was floored. You heard that?

TSS: (laughs) Nah, ‘cause that was a serious power move right there.

Juicy J: Well, it’s gonna be on MTV…we went out and got a camera and went all through the hood, all through Memphis. You’ll see us in the studio, droppin’ tracks, kickin’ it…there’s some emotional moments in there, but it’s gon’ be a hot show.

TSS: You got a new album on the way, your eighth one. Tell me what the deal is with that.

Juicy J: We on fire man. We had a lot on our plate but you know we had to put it down for the album. We still got that same hot shit, things got crazy with the Academy Awards after winnin’ that but we still got on our grind man, nothin’ was changin’ that.

DJ Paul: Yeah.

TSS: Speaking of that, there’s some cats out there who say that since y’all won the Academy Award, your sound has changed. I beg to differ, but what do you say about that?

DJ Paul: Well we aint put nothin’ out except Project Pat’s album so I don’t even know where that’s coming from.

Juicy J: Aint nothin’ changed. We from the gutter, and we still do the same music, so all that don’t make sense to me. A lot of time when people say that, that’s just ‘cause that’s the first thing that comes out of they mouth. I think they was exaggeratin’. I mean, whenever you win a big award, people are gonna think you’re doin’ something different. That’s with anything…oh I won this prize. “Change.” I got this award. Oh, ‘you changed.’ You could win the Nobel Peace Prize. “Change.”

TSS: So do y’all have anything new in the works with Project Pat, like a tour?

DJ Paul: We in the process of workin’ on another album with him. We aint in the studio, we’re just throwing ideas around and everything like that.

Juicy J: You know Pat’s a monster man, he’s down with Sony, so we workin’ with that. It’s not gonna be a problem ‘cause Pat ‘s a master makin’ an album. He can sit and write a whole album in like, five to ten minutes ya know? So that’s comin’ out soon. It’ll be on the way.

TSS: Yeah man. This is gonna be a sensitive question, but…the situation with Crunchy Black. What went down?

Juicy J: Crunchy Black wanted to do his own thing man, so we was like it’s all good, no problem with us man, you know. If a man wanna do his own thing let him do his own thing you know? We aint tryin’ to hold nobody back.

DJ Paul: He wanted to do a solo album so, it’s cool.

Juicy J: We wish him the best, hopefully everybody keep grindin’ man and doin’ our thing. That’s it.

TSS: So, solo albums…I hear that y’all are got solo albums yourselves. What’s the word on that?

DJ Paul: We did solo albums a couple years ago, we’re just re-distributing ‘em now. (pauses) This is a lot of crazy stuff, man.

Juicy J: Yeah man, where you be comin’ from with this?(laughs) I wanna get your experts man, to tell me somethin’ about myself that I don’t know!

TSS: Hey man, it’s what’s on the streets, I’m here to get the word from y’all! (laughs)

DJ Paul: It’s all good.

TSS: Okay…so it’s gonna be re-distribution then.

DJ Paul: We got stuff in the works.

Juicy J: Yeah, it’s comin’ man…kinda like that “Alice” show. Remember that show, Alice? Man, when they gon’ bring “Alice” out on DVD?(laughs)

TSS: Wow. (laughs)

DJ Paul: Yeah, you probably don’t remember “Alice”.

TSS: Nah, I remember “Alice”…you took it back fam. So, is there going to be another Hypnotize Camp Posse album?

Juicy J: Oh hell yeah, oh hell yeah man, any check in the mail is great. Ain’t nobody gonna argue over that, especially Black.

TSS: Also, will there be another Tear Da Club Up Thugs album?

DJ Paul: Yeah, we gonna make another one of them, it’s probably gonna be with Project Pat.

TSS: Cool, cool. So with y’all representin’ Memphis and hip-hop from the south, you’ve been puttin’ it down for years. I’m a New York head that listens to your music. Do you plan on working with any more east coast artists?

Juicy J: I mean, it’s already known that we’ll work with anybody man. I love east coast music.

DJ Paul: Well we already did a lot of work with east coast rappers though, we did something with Noreaga, and…

Juicy J: We did something with Jim Jones a year ago. We love New York man, hip-hop was invented out of New York City you know what I mean? I wanna do something with Nas, Jay-Z, whoever man. It don’t even matter to me, man. Just tryin’ to keep the hip-hop alive, you know what I mean? Keep everything rollin’ man. It’s good to see people from other states, especially east coast rappers doin’ down south rapper collabos like, “wow”, you know? That’s big.

DJ Paul: We did one joint with Cam’ron, I wanna do another joint with Cam.

TSS: All right. So do you guys have any plans to do your own movies?

Juicy J: Man we in the process right now of doing a movie called “Streets of Memphis”, the life story of Three 6 Mafia. From when we first started to winnin’ the Oscar. We got a lot on our plate right now which is good to have a lot of food on your plate man. So we’re uh, we’re writin’ the scripts, re-writing them, getting the music together, getting the concerts together…it’s going down man.

TSS: No doubt man. Thank you for talkin’ to me man.

DJ Paul: Aight man, later.
