Naledge Is Power.

A few things…
1. A few months ago, my dude Easy told me to listen to the Kidz In The Hall album, School Was My Hustle. I browsed it, liked it but didn’t get a chance to give it a full fledged listen…until last week. With that, I say this kid Naledge is solid.
Descriptive, detail-orientated and metaphorical, he’s got that Midwest cool like many of the cats already on the scene from the Chi. but slightly edgier.
Evidence
“Mean & Vicious” feat. Lupe Fiasco
“Go Ill” and “Don’t Stop” from Kidz In The Hall’s School Was My Hustle album.
Considering when this album dropped, I’m pretty sure they had the break used on “Don’t Stop” first and Double-O did an excellent job with and Naledge put the track in the full nelson. “Go Ill” is that version of the Chi that I always love to hear about it. In fact…

2. Somebody send me some Harold’s please.
3. P-Wings = Piff. Fuck a Bape or LRG. If you got that joint in a bigger size (any vgaers out there reading?), get @ me.

Yo, is P-wings the name of the brand or what?
Its a Polo…Ralph Lauren’s Polo.
That pic should’ve been the cover of “Food & Liquor”…
Kidz In The Hall reminds you of the late late 90’s when for every No Limit/Ca$h Money album that would get shine, there was a someone making a equally respectable pure hip-hop album. Nadlege is pretty good (even though Lupe destroys him right here) but I’d like to hear an album when the production is really tight instead of solid.
Old Lo always kings that shit. Back in the day we made shit fresh before clothing was being made for us to wear. It’s because of the VGA’s that you ain’t gone find that shit kid.
Mos Def in case someone needs it

Yo T.C. –
I respect Mos for stunts like the anti-bush freestyle he pulled which lead to his televised arrest. I disrespect Mos for being a multi-millionare but failing to pay his child support.
As far as this new shit, The album starts off quick, it’s aight. He sings all of track 3, which I’m not really feeling. The one after that has an awful echo effect and you can’t really get into the cut because of that.
On the promo I upped, “Katrina Clap” (Shit he got booked for) is on there. Good beatjack from Juvie, plus he did more with it. “Crime medicine” is a blasphemous straight beat jack of the classic, best track ever dropped from GZA, Liquid Swords. But at the same time it’s cool to heard that ill beat being rolled out again. “murder of a teenage life” laments a lost young life, whereas “U R the One” laments the loss of young love. I feel that. It’s really not alot of cats coming with shit like that right now. Just my initial impression of the album, I like it so far. Mos needs to get wilder though, he sounds really lethargic in some spots, which doesn’t keep my attention for too long.
