Say what you will about Trick but I think most, esp us Southerners, can see that this dude has one thing on his stat sheet that others don’t have – Consistency.
As well, he hasn’t switched up his style to sell records & he’s always laced his records and songs w/a good solid msg b/c if you know his backstory, he came up hard. If you know his catalog, he’s always provided hope and guidance through his lyrics which I don’t think alot of folks see or respect.

I can respect that Gotty. And I’m well aware of his discography and the messages. He’s got standout songs like (America-on TWO albums LOL, and Ain’t No Santa) but musically, I don’t feel he got it.
Yeah Trick def keeps it consistant. One of the last cats I’d expect to see sell out on that pop shit. Far as him and Plies (or any other street cats for that matter), if u can’t relate, u aren’t gonna get it…period.
