I’m ashamed to say that @ first the charm of this track may have missed me. It’s further evidence that this lady from Leeds, England should be on more people’s radars. The strength of her voice and compassion she emotes while singing are a welcome alternative to so dance-orientated R&B tracks.

On a sidenote, the track struck me because I’m learning how to be more patient with myself and others as the dynamics of things around me grow and change with the seasons. During the summer, shit was smooth sailing in my work and personal life. Now, as it grows cooler, you can feel the grind and determination it takes some morns to get out of your warm bed beside your baby in exchange for cold drafts. And with the nightfall coming earlier & the rush of the holidays, it often feels like there’s more to be done, but less time to fit it all in, including work, love and play. So for me, everything comes in its proper time. No rush. No forcing. Just accepting time as it is and realizing there’s no “time” without “I.”
